sure for me no problem , it was just for user who are on an 32 bit system , remember the confusion about Sampletank 3 many user bought this and have realized later that it is 64 bit only .Numanoid wrote:I can understand that, this monster synth will need to access more than 4GB of RAM to function properly, even though UVI statesDrumAddict wrote:just a small little warning , Falcon are 64 bit only
Due to Falcon’s ability to efficiently stream samples from disk you can manage tens of thousands of samples at once without a massive RAM footprint.
UVI Falcon - v4 = 2026 released - rumors, ads, praise, kindergarden, auto-sampling and off-topic inside!

+1. I've got MF3, Vintage Vault, and Relayer. Not sure if I can justify the outlay for this vs. new coolness. A killer crossgrade price might make me dance though. In my mind, there's no question that this is MF4.audientronic wrote:I assume this means MF is dead. This bodes well for more frequent updates. Would very much like to see a crossgrade price for MF3 owners.

The price is fair for a small company like UVI.Sim.Sky wrote:also with the slight difference that even the discounted intro price is higher than whole logic with alchemy in itNumanoid wrote:The Alchemy Killerbut really promising nonetheless! btw. does someone know who the speaker in the overview video is? if his voice had an ADSR envelope he definitely needed to turn up the sustain

i don´t think that there will be an MF3 Upgrade, i had hope for an upgrade as well , because its about 2 different companys even if uvi has coded MF3 .
you get also an 100 Dollar Voucher Code when you buying Falcon that you can use on one uvi library purchase . so 229 Dollar introducing price + 100 Dollar Voucher Code are not bad at all i think .

I don't think it's just two different companies, there is some relationship there. They also provided upgrades to to the MOTU sample libraries they relaunched as UVI libraries, like Orchestral Suite, so I would be extremely surprised if there isn't any upgrade path.DrumAddict wrote:i don´t think that there will be an MF3 Upgrade, i had hope for an upgrade as well , because its about 2 different companys even if uvi has coded MF3 .

I just recently purchased MachFive3, and surely they didn't start working on this yesterday.
A $100 voucher at the UVI store is a good deal? I guess if you are interested in buying the instruments at a premium price.

Yeah, like some of us were expecting, this is 100% MachFive 4.
Does this one come with a PDF manual? And does the documentation actually cover the scripting capabilities? (The paper-only manual and extremely minimal documentation were big stumbling blocks to MachFive 3.)
Plus, I haven't checked the UVI shop yet, but I'm assuming this one's finally a digital download and not a boxed-product-only like MachFive was.

For me the most important novelties in Falcon are the new granular engine which finally supports multiple grain streams (a la Padshop Pro/HALion, adds different grain shapes and offers lot's of other grain controls, the main problem in the old granular engine was that each grain would fade in over time so percussive sounds were not possible, this has now been solved.
And there is the new model synth, similar to Chromaphone I would say where you can also use samples to excite the resonators, either following key or with a static pitch. I shall post some demos soon with sounds I made for the factory library.
And the new FX modules are awesome, so is the total GUI redesign. More info later...

Yes, it appears to be a downloadable product. I logged in just to check for further discounts and saw none. The intro price would be more than fair if I hadn't bought MF3 not too long ago and having VV pretty much leaves few choices for the $100 voucher. Not really into urban stuff, so I'd be kicking an extra $100 in to buy anything else. Yes. i want this, but I can't justify it. Halion 5 is sitting there ready to go too...
