I'm not sure that that could be answered without using it. How would you assess the value?

That's how it started but many user complained that they could not be used for Sale items. So IK Multimedia changed it to 30% across the board. (I would have preferred the original scheme.)

Correct me if I'm wrong but Percussions are not renewed on Miroslav 2? I can't find that kind of description on IK website. Still I really like Miroslav's strings, brasses or woodwinds but I feel, comparing to other modern libraries, Miro's weak point is percussion such as timpani, cymbal or harp. It's too early to request before the release of Miro 2 but I hope IK to release new percussion libraries for Miro 2 down the road. I think percussions most get benefit from round-robin.
Yes, I can look for them in powered-by Kontakt libraries but hopefully I'd like something recorded in the same place. :)

Nobody asked to reduce it to 30% all what people wanted was to use them during a sale and hats what they get.. ..i couldn't care less anyway since with the exorbitant VAT i prefer to buy from overseas retailers so the JP aren't an issue here most of the time.

It would be great to have the soundcontent of MS2 alone for ST3 for something around $99 and the MP2 upgrade for $139 all in all.

I'm pretty sure that jampoints are not possible during presale.
I used jam points this morning to buy. Didn't tell me I got 50 jam points free.

Just logged in again. I'm down to 99 jampoints left.

Go into my are and a pop up says I have a bonus 50 jampoints. So back up to 149 jam points.

I wouldn't have bought it if the jam points didn't work.

You can actually get an even better deal. Instead of buying Miro 2 directly, buy 200 credits priced at $159.99 using JamPoints. If you have enough of those you can bring the price down to $111.99. Then simply buy Miro in the Custom Shop. And that Is a no-brainer indeed. At least to me. :)

That's not completely true and if that happen one day (i hardly believe that the day will come very soon) a friend of mine living in the states can buy then for me. :)

So in theory you can ignoring this like already done so for over years.

PS: Why do you think as aussie you don't pay VAT to IKM? Nobody give a sh*t here yet. :D

MachineClaw wrote:$199 upgrade? I'll pass.

put the $199 into my Vienna Instruments seems more beneficial to me.

plus this is IK. the price will be $50 in a year in a group buy.
Got to agree......way over priced.

Now I'm a bit pi**ed off..
There was no mention in the email to "loyal customers" that we could purchase this upgrade in the Custom Shop, using Gear Credits, and, as you rightly say (just had a look), amounts to a further $40 saving compared to buying with "real" money, which is what I did yesterday.

LATER:
I've just looked again in my Custom shop (latest version), and that option seems to have disappeared. Can someone check that, please? (it now displays "must be a registered user of SampleTank 3, or Miroslav Philharmonic".. which I am, of course) . Or maybe that option has disappeared, simply because it has just updated itself, to recognize that I had already purchased the upgrade?
Anyways, can someone take a look in their Custom Shop.. see if the upgrade still shows $199 or 200 Gear Credits (@ $159.99)? Thanks
I did get a life,once...but it was faulty, so I sent it back.

TheoM wrote: Plus if you buy it through the custom shop i don't believe you can ever resell? So perhaps don't be too upset.
Well, I would have liked to have been given an informed option ;). I've never been too bothered about reselling, but yes, that is an interesting observation ;).
I have always been happy with Miroslav v1, although mainly using it mixed in with other libraries, so (while I totally agree with the person who commented on those "block chord" string section demos for v2), they didn't prevent me from still seeing the great potential with Miro v2 :)

Yes, there's 45GB of new material plus the original material is also all included in addition to that.
i have to give IK Multimedia some credit... it is funny how they get individuals to buy the same samples/patches/material over and over again...

i find that amazing... i.e. they are laughing all the way to the bank...
