Manc Cris,
Yes your are a good man!
The wondering is;
I send in AAMS in the KVR-site as a program, and quess what they rejected it!! ( I had a good laugh and left it as it is, yes i could complain about they rejecting it as a program on their site).
The rejected it because my program is NOT a Plugin! Not a Host! , is not a sequencer! , is not a Audio Editor! KVR thinks it should not be on their site!
I only want to note this so you can have a laugh also...
I just like the postings over here and yes it does some good on the program and installer. Thx man.

Ok I trusted you and ckicked ok to your file update thing. I let your program reboot my computer. Good news my computer seems to be running fine bad news your program installer does not install anything.
I am using your defaults. Now when I go into you folder in program folers I can see a foldrerthere marked support. In that folder I can see you exe file when I click on that I get a message about aruntime error and then your program opens. When it's is open I can do nothing but look at it because none of the buttons dop anything when you click on them.

Your a funny guy.
Tried both. It offered to again update my system and reboot my computer. Nice little loop yhou've got there. Sorry I neglected to mention this in my last post. I went into your support folder as this thing is not working at all so I I though why not.
Running Pentum 2.4 Ghz processor
w win XP SP1
This is the ony program I can ever recall having any trouble installing in XP.

OK - I got the reboot and came back here to get the instructions that aren't in the manual yet. I'm going to try step #1 above.

I'm in the reboot 'loop' now, after 3 reboots step #1 doesn't seem to be working - I'm going to try step #2 now...kylen wrote: OK - I got the reboot and came back here to get the instructions that aren't in the manual yet. I'm going to try step #1 above.

After a total of 9 installation attempts and reboots I don't think installation is going to finish up. The installer still thinks system files need updating...I guess it's working on these Bootstrap Files from the setup.lst file:
I get a message indicating (paraphrasing here) that system files need updating and a bunch of stuff zzoms by too fast to see...installer tells me it has (7 of 7) files to replace either beginning or ending with MSUBVN60.DLL .
Standing by awaiting orders dvdvelde - let's knock this install problem out - while I have it!
Code: Select all
File1=@VB6STKIT.DLL,$(WinSysPathSysFile),,,3-26-99 12:00:00 AM,101888,6.0.84.50

OK - it looks like #2 works for me!
I don't think I can really say that #1 didn't work - although it didn't, hehe. What I mean by that is I ran the expand utility and pointed it to the location you mentioned but it created a sub directory so I don't think I followed the instructions properly.
Anyway it looks like the install finished using method #2.

It's installed then right? I was going to try and use AAMS at this point - or are you saying I should reinstall using another method?dvdvelde wrote:I think both versions work then, let me know
