NI account also says that the state of my order is "unknown". Wtf?

Just a guess, but maybe they're in the progress now of changing their serial delivery, so that they send out the correct serials.Lejurai wrote:WTF?!Lejurai wrote:Hm. Ordered some nice sweet sugar waldorf edition 2 but all I had from NI was an email saying "thank you for buying" and that's it

Hopefully at least there is no $25 fee to pay for transfering a eLicenser license like there is when transfering an iLOK license ?chk071 wrote:No, you can buy another dongle to transfer the license from one dongle to the other. But instead you have to send a physical dongle whearas iLok transfers can be done online. tbh I prefer the iLok system because it maintains a database of all my licenses in the cloud - eLicenser only you know what is on it and if it gets broken it's harder to restore the licenses.Numanoid wrote:Hopefully at least there is no $25 fee to pay for transfering a eLicenser license like there is when transfering an iLOK license ?chk071 wrote:No, you can buy another dongle to transfer the license from one dongle to the other. You can definitely get your Steinberg licenses restored (as i wrote, they're stored in your Steinberg account when you choose to transmit license infos in the eLicenser control center), if the USB licenser breaks. But i haven't found a way to register Waldorf Largo. So, if the USB licenser breaks, i guess there goes Largo...

Yes Steinberg ones are backed up but the rest are left with you contacting individual companies, most if not all will oblige but it's harder.chk071 wrote:You can definitely get your Steinberg licenses restored (as i wrote, they're stored in your Steinberg account when you choose to transmit license infos in the eLicenser control center), if the USB licenser breaks. Yeah, iLok has advanatges over eLicenser, specially multiple activations at once (without dongle). Hope waldorf could offer either of them.

I've contacted support about it before. There's no way to "register" largo or any of the elicenser-based plugins for Waldorf. When you buy a license you're not given a serial number or account. You're simply given an elicenser authorization code.chk071 wrote:Alright. I think i will try to contact Waldorf then, and ask if there's a way to "register" Largo.
However, in the event that your elicenser breaks or your computer takes a dive, you just have to contact support and provide proof of purchase (an invoice or email) and they can resupply you with a replacement code. This was told to me by Holger @ support several months ago.
