I'd actually love to see Minilogue in those colors, as well. :)

Hot looking synth! :D

How exciting! The emperor has new clothes :hihi:
I never make mistakes; I just blame others.

I just don't love the Korg filter sound, I guess. And the wood panel on the back just looks goofy probably because we're so used to unnecessary wood side cheeks instead :hihi:

The whole analog-controlled-by-digital philosophy of the synth is different from the almost-semi-modular MicroBrute, though I see where the comparison comes in. I do wish the MicroBrute had an LFO this good though.

I was rather hoping for "Megalogue" or euro-logue successor. Korg already has enough cheap and small synths to offer, I can't see why would we need another one. While Minilogue is certainly interesting for me as an affordable polyphonic analog, Monologue is just one of many monosynths I don't need.

€100 cheaper than the Minibrute... Looks a great value.
Its more like the MicroBrute.

A cut down Minilogue really. Not very interesting for me. Should have been an expansion....
Features wise in most respects it beats both microbrute and minibrute. 2 oscillators, sync, PWM, motion sequencer etc etc.

It's not adding anything massively exciting to the market perhaps but from my perspective it looks like a strong addition.

I understand people being underwhelmed - I don't need another cheap monosynth either - but still looks a good product to me on the face of it.

Dunno why, but, Korg synths always have a kind of dry, not "creamy" sound which i don't like so much. But then, not in a for an analog monosynth anyway.

I was hoping that they would have gone in the other direction, with a higher polyphony version of the Minilogue or perhaps a modern re-issue of something like the Polysix or MonoPoly. As it is, the Monologue looks kind of cool, is attractively priced, and would indeed seem to be a nice option for someone starting out or for someone starting out or looking to expand their rig.

I agree that the colors look pretty cool and I hope they offer similar options for Minilogue in the future.

I think I'm going to look at the Odyssey first... especially the new Odyssey module. I'm also keeping an eye on the Deepmind12. But yeah, the Minilogue seems to be a nice option. Having options to choose from is not a bad thing.

Medilogue and Maxilogue due to be announced at Winter NAMM or Musikmesse 2017. Probably.
An idiot on Set Theory:

Lol :D

Dont get me started on the Arturia Middlebrute.

Hoping for souped-up versions of Monologue and Monotribe here ... Dialogue and Diatribe.

I want Tatsuya Takahashi and Professor Korg to personally fly over to my house next time and design their synth strictly to my extremely specific requirements. And sell it for a dollar.

MicroBrute does PWM. It may have "one" oscillator in terms of pitch tracking, though it generates foldable triangles, a quasi multi-saw, pulse and subs. While it can't do sync or ringmod or actual detuning, it easily sound thicker than one oscillator normally does.

And there's all the CV stuff, which is about to become extremely relevant to my interests as soon as FedEx drops off a package for me today :D And I prefer its filter by far over what I'm hearing from the Monologue.
