Perhaps an alpha order option like in MS Excel?

Hi Tick, SP1 works perfect now. But a question:
The stand allone .exe allows to scroll in the bank list with the mouse wheel. The plugin .dll can't. Did you know this?
Regards Michael

Big Tick, thanks for the update ... I was up way past my bedtime last night just playing, melodies and chords falling out of my fingers
That's a nice assortment of patches in the default bank for your future customers to play with
Thanks to the patch-crafters too

You don't need SP1 as it's now included in the full, 14 Mb download. It's only required if you got Rhino on the first day.

Just managed to dig my site code out of Outlook Express (buried down in a million emails) and have been playing with Rhino2 SP1 for a bit. Very impressive! Works fine so far in Orion Platinum and Tracktion. I'll keep beating on it over the weekend and if I find anything I'll let ya know!

agree with the others Impressive work... still finding my way in the newness...
did have one little thought about keyzone stuff... but doubt it will find it's way into this version:
I understand how to control the keyboard zones np... but it's true that to do so, I have to edit them in each osc page.
Now there are some few vsti's that allow for keyzone control all from one simple location. Most of these just have a representation of the keys and some graphic bars with a slider handle at each end which one uses to make the graphic bar longer or shorter over the key range. This way is very handy since one can see all at once the keyzones for each item.
IF Rhino could have this additionally to the separate pages I would find it very sweet. Maybe it's an idea for 3.0...

hmmm Tick what am I missing? I don't get drap and drop into the Library at all ..or very randomly if at all.
My understanding is that I should be able to navigate to a Library directory or heading and drag and drop from the Bank Presets to there, yes? Not working for me...
Also, I read that I can save an fxp and drop it to the Library from windows Explorer.... no? Don't work here at all...
I'm using the SP1 integrated install... Is it just me or what?

Hmm...works fine here. What kind of mouse are you using? Are you using anything like the Logitech Software that might mess with the mouse defaults?max wrote:hmmm Tick what am I missing? I don't get drap and drop into the Library at all ..or very randomly if at all.

I use a logitech cordless optical, the older model, but I do NOT use any of the logitech software at all... and the mouse is on the ps2 port, not usb.. it works perfectly will all other stuff...
Here is what I see happen, ...if I try to drag a preset name from the left 'banks' section and drop it into a 'folder' or heading on the Library, a dialog comes up saying the item is already in the database. But clearly it is not already there since it don't show up in the Library items. Hmmmm I better test it in a diff host... just maybe that is the problem. brb
OK... think I found it ... seems to be only a problem in Chainer [my favorite fast test host]... in Cubase it works as it should. Hmmm dbl checking further maybe not as I would expect it to work. Here's the thing...
Let's say I make a new heading in Library and Name it New Heading.... and have it 'opened', and then try to drag a preset name from Banks into it. I don't work... but the preset will go into the 'root' of wherever New Heading is. I can then later drag and drop the preset name onto New Heading and it will stay there. But wonder why I can't just drop into the 'opened' New Heading location. I realize this is a 'database' and not actually a true 'directory' structure... but I would seem the 'database' is trying to behave like a directory structure. So... what exactly are the rules for using it?
I sure is nice to be playing with ver. 2 at last!!!

Here is some more information regarding the library, when dragging a preset from the bank page:
- if you drop the preset on a library category, the preset will automatically be stored into that category.
- if you drop the preset on an empty area (for instance, below the "woodwinds" category), it will go into the "ambient" category (that's a little bug in V2 that was raised yesterday. Of course it should go into whatever category you're currently in, or the root category).
