Amazing bunch of plugins I must say. Thank you, very well done!
I have a small request that would make them more usable, how about adding a mouse scroll support for parameter changes?
Thanks a lot,
Lesha

It would also be nice to be able to double-click on a parameter and manually input the value.Lesha wrote:Amazing bunch of plugins I must say. Thank you, very well done!

No, there are no 'pro' versions in the works.kinwie wrote:First, I wonder will we have the value type-in feature,
because I smell like that will be the "pro" feature![]()

Editable parameters is a feature I'd like to implement but it'll require a lot of work which, unfortunately, I just can't justify at the moment.
Overdrive uses quite a bit of CPU as it uses oversampling to avoid aliasing and so has to do a lot more work than a normal plugin. Unfortunately this can't really be helped with plugins of this type.kinwie wrote: Secondly, I have a question regarding CPU consumption.
This thought pop-up when the DD Overdrive was released.
At this moment it eat about 9% cpu, at mixing buffer size (4096 samples), but it sounds awesome!
And I understand that harmonic effects need lot of power.
It's an interesting idea but I think it would cause confusion - I think a lot of people would expect a mono switch on a stereo plugin to provide a mono mix of both channels but to work correctly in a mono track, as you suggest, it would have to ignore the right channel and just process the left - not the same as a mono mix. These plugins are stereo effects and I don't want to confuse matters by trying to turn them into mono plugins.kinwie wrote:Just a suggestion if you think this is good :
- Added a Mono/Stereo switch, so when we use the plugin on a mono track, the cpu can cut in half.
(like in the DD Channel, when a module is activated, the cpu is raised and when it de-activated, it free the cpu)
It's an interesting topic though, AFAIK the VST 2 standard doesn't provide a way to detect if a channel isn't in use so it can lead to a lot a wasteful processing if a stereo plugin is used on a mono track.

The plugins already support mouse wheel control but it only seems to work in certain hosts (Reaper for example).

Thanks for your answer. I tested using Ableton Live.swatwork wrote:The plugins already support mouse wheel control but it only seems to work in certain hosts (Reaper for example).

Wow , what !? That is faster than fast. Thank you !swatwork wrote:A good idea, I don't know why I didn't do this in the first placeK82 wrote:Geat stuff ! Would it be possible to get a low cut filter on the delay ?![]()
I've updated the effects bundle to version 1.3.1 - both the Delay and MonoDelay plugins now have low cut filters.
Not sure if I should ask this after such great gifts but what is your aim with this project ?
Sometimes somebody makes a vst that is free and it gets some updates , its great.
But not like 22 fx + 4 instruments + updates within maybe a month.
What's wrong with you ?

It is indeed that the mouse-scroll not working on me (PT10, Fxpansion adapter), but I don't need it anyway
Because I'm afraid it will also take the Space bar (transport) function away too.
Btw, no any plan on a De-esser?
I always use 2 De-ess, the firat one is the free vst Lisp on top and pro tools stock Dyn3 De-Esser on bottom.
Would love to see one from you
So the DD dynamics suite will be complete :
Compressor, Expander, Gate, Limiter and the De-Esser

If you're using Reaper, you can set up a the DD low-pass filter with parameter modulation and get the functional equivalent of a de-esser. Takes, like, 10 seconds to set up.kinwie wrote:Btw, no any plan on a De-esser?

But with that way, there's no listen/monitoring the filtered sibilants, right?
Well, I've got several great de-esser already, including the ToneBoosters DeEsser, I just hate it for stealing the Space Bar key, errggghh...
Who knows, Steve will make one...

If you really want to monitor the effect of any plugin on any track carefully, duplicate the track (plugins included), invert the polarity of the track, and adjust your parameters. Any difference heard will be a difference in parameter adjustment. If you did this, the more you compressed or attenuated the sibilance of your primary track, the louder it would get.kinwie wrote:Thanks for the tips!BRBWaffles wrote:If you're using Reaper, you can set up a the DD low-pass filter with parameter modulation and get the functional equivalent of a de-esser. OK, update time again - both bundles have been updated with various minor fixes and enhancements, most notably mouse-wheel support which should now work in all hosts (or at least more than it did before).
The effects bundle also includes an additional plugin, a DeEsser!

This bundle is sizable and very worthy competition for some very expensive bundles out there. I'm curious to know what your motivation is for not choosing to profit from it? Even offering the bundle at $10 per person with free upgrades and additions, there's a lot to be gained. I mean, at the very least include a donate button on the info panel of each plugin, haha.swatwork wrote:OK, update time again - both bundles have been updated with various minor fixes and enhancements, most notably mouse-wheel support which should now work in all hosts (or at least more than it did before).

Well I originally wrote most of these plugins as a learning exercise so commercial exploitation wasn't my primary motivation. Also, I think this type of 'bread and butter' plugin is pretty well represented in the market (as well as being bundled in most DAWs) so trying to sell yet another collection would be difficult.BRBWaffles wrote:This bundle is sizable and very worthy competition for some very expensive bundles out there. Instead, it made more sense to just release them as freeware. I like the idea of a sort of 'starter kit' bundle that can cover all the basics in a single download.
