functionform, It's hard for me to tell from the picture what the problem is.

Is the volume changing for the impulse or the waveforms oscillator?

Does it happen only if the BTW filter is added, does it stop if the filter is removed?

There are three volume ADSR's, which one must be preset for the problem to occur, which can be removed and the problem still occurs. Does the problem occur if there are no ADSR's?

Also, you said the volume goes down but the partial volume goes up. That's a little confusing. Are you saying the over all volume goes down but the volume of one partial goes up?

Please try to cut the problem down to the essential bug and if there's time I'll fix it for 2.8 which is coming out very soon.

Also please try this beta and see if it fixes it, Windows 64 Bit only. I fixed another volume problem in this release already.

When I fill in the patch name box, it doesn't use that to overwrite an existing patch. Definitely surprisingly buggy there. I'm fine deleting old patches as I save.

I wouldn't delay the release for me. I post more to see if anyone else has observed it because it might just be my learning. I will definitely try to reproduce for 2.8 and narrow the cases down.

Not only have you provided a cool full-version of synth for the month.... you've saved my song!! And quickly!! Thank you :D

ps. Seriously thanks for the help, and sorry if this seems like cheating to anyone - I'm just not that great at synth programming yet... At all! I'm still at the stage where most of my effort is still in trying to program and mix a decent sounding composition with whatever sounds I can scratch together from tweaking presets
Not just a clap, but a little "Drumset" with 12 elements in a single patch...check it out! viewtopic.php?f=1&t=482501&p=7025874#p7025874

Ah, see I am not fine with that.
I would really prefer a confirmation dialog of some sort when attempting to save a patch with a name that already exists.
I'm not very creative with patch names and often resort to adding numbers to them.
But I also have terrible memory so a situation where I think I'm about to save kick version 5 but in fact I should be saving kick version 6 (because I already had a version 5) can occur.
I have already accidentally overwritten 3 patches so far. :dog:
Win10 x64, Reaper 6.XX x64, i5-3330, 8gb ram, GTX-970, UC-33, Panorama P4, Wharfedale Diamond 8.2 and JVC HA-RX700

If you hit the preset save shortcut button on the top menu bar without going into the browser it will do a non-destructive save and automatically increment the number.

Fixed Bug 0082 Aliasing on high notes if waveform is modulated.
Fixed Bug 0083 Low notes missing when too close together.
Fixed Bug 0085 Pitch note ADSR dropping at end of note.
Fixed Bug 0086 Copy components sometimes disappear.
Fixed Bug 0087 Aliasing occurs while moving the partials dial.

Fixed Bug 0090 Chorus cuts in and out after note volume ADSR.
Fixed Bug 0091 Allow single cycle wav import in mono version.
Fixed Bug 0092 No warning message if attempt to save wave in mono version.
Fixed Bug 0093 Crash if load wave table with less than 16 waves.
Fixed Bug 0094 Wave table index dial manual entry is off by one.
Fixed Bug 0095 Smooth ADSR decay not working for envelope Bezier segments.

Thanks, FathomSynth!!
Just a touch of EQ and a tickle of compression

:help: I guess I'm blind. I use the preset "Wet sand" from the "Modern" bank and I can't manage to find/change the ADSR volume envelope (I want a shorter attack time). Someone please help

Post

In wet sand, there are two volume ADSR envelopes, once for each oscillator.
In the far right under Modulation Matrix find the row that says "Volume".
To the left of that there is a small ADSR icon, click on that.
Then the envelope is blown up to fill the whole center view.
Click on one of the dots and drag it to the left to shorten the attack.

Six days into the contest and no submissions yet. This is a good thing I guess. I for one am having a blast.

Anyone have any tips on how to make a gong? One hit medium velocity.
We jumped the fence because it was a fence not be cause the grass was greener.

Thx for the fast reply!

I am using additive synthesis, a whiff of noise and some filters to make cymbals. Caused me some headache trying to reproduce a spectrum I have seen from analyzing a ride cymbal, but it kind of works.
I cannot attach the preset .xml file to this post ... how does it work?

Edit: file attached, I have seen people using .zip 8)
Maybe you can transform the preset into something that works for you :)
