Yes something like that but I never got anything useful out of complex FM routing in Dune 2. My fault no doubt for not grasping the concept properly but I'm not a big enough fan of FM anymore to stress my brain trying to make complex FM sounds in Dune when I have other more conventional FM synths.Dasheesh wrote: Wed Nov 28, 2018 2:43 pm Well, I was right (and they were right) the first time. set up a four part multi (four voices) go to modulation matrix and set up oscillator 1 as source... then pick a destination and assign it to parts 2+3+4 ... then go to parts (voice![]()
) 2, 3, 4 and set them independently to what ever you want.... boom.
Will Dune 3 be finally released or will I have to torture puppies ?

I asked about a release date for Hive 2.0, and they said Q1 2019.

Hive is just unfinished right now and it feels unfinished when i play with it. it's like a half done product. i keep hearing about this amazing gui that's coming too, but i don't know what to think... if it's going to be an enhanced version of what's already there? or if it's a complete rebuild? i don't know. there is a lot coming to hive in the near future, but it's just frustration for me right now so it's back to dune 2 for a bit. the analog side of hive kicks dunes teeth in though. Hive is going to be a legit modern power synth when he is done with it. luckily i got lush 101 to fill the analog gap for now. been seriously geeking for my old prophet lately tho. been contemplating if someone would be interested in maybe trading a hive license for a repro license in the market place. not even sure that's possible tho. i don't see why not? just thinking about it.

Beside a full modular i find the mod-matrix in Dune 2 gives me the most interesting options to assign audio rate stuff and fast and easy very complex set-ups without having to use 100 modules.
The workflow and GUI isn‘t the best yet and i hope for something like drop n‘ drag modulations.
Of course i want more LFO‘s as well and morphable LFO‘s and and and.....

Yes, let's send those puppies through a sawtooth oscillator, a comb filter, a bit crusher and a compressor, and stretch their reverb tails

you cannot modulate one layer by another layer, they are completely separateDasheesh wrote: Wed Nov 28, 2018 2:43 pm Well, I was right (and they were right) the first time. set up a four part multi (four voices) go to modulation matrix and set up oscillator 1 as source... then pick a destination and assign it to parts 2+3+4 ... then go to parts (voice![]()

when you use Osc1 as source, it is Osc1 from all layers, it does not say Osc1 Layer1/Voice1

well, you can change the oscillator type and pitch of osc. 1 for each part separately, and use it only as a modulator. (i am getting to the point where i refuse to call them "voices" now).

yes, but only for the layer it is inDasheesh wrote: Wed Nov 28, 2018 4:30 pm well, you can change the oscillator type and pitch of osc. 1 for each part separately, and use it only as a modulator.
call them layers then, thats what they areDasheesh wrote: Wed Nov 28, 2018 4:30 pm i am getting to the point where i refuse to call them "voices" now

well, it's a multi patch, and each of the 8 engines are a part. that's the way i learned it. they are multi parts.
anyhoo... i like to use osc modulation on filter cut off. if i use oscillator 1 as a modulation source... and then assign it filter cutoff of parts 2+4 only... it won't modulate filter cutoff of part 1 and 3.
