ooh nice little sampler?
:ud:

I like mine, can basically get my whole sample library on a micro SD and then browse them on the sofa. Planning to mainly use it for talky backing tracks etc.

The polyphony is a bit limited and engine a bit shallow so you can't really build super expressive instruments; but a lot of power in a small fun box. What it can do is tempo-sync audio loops by slicing or stretching.

I was mostly looking at the sampler/slice workflow, but can you also record entire passes, like if you have a sequence saved, can you then record the output of a synth for the duration of that sequence (or longer)?

Very little! I was really tempted by the Bluebox (same size, but like a Kandinsky painting title, obviously blue) because my mini synths are growing in numbers. Supposedly the Bluebox pairs well with the Blackbox, but I need to see a few videos to understand that.

I like it a lot better than the bamboo one I bought from Etsy, which wasn't very stable and of course not adjustable. This has a slight amount of bounce to it when playing the keyboard but that's better than the entire thing trying to tip over...
@foosnark, thank you for posting this. Amazing price on these too. I needed this for work (laptop and mobile 2nd monitor stands). This is saving my neck!

They're built well... so I'll be using this for more than just work.

It’s been roughly one year once I fell into the black hole that is Eurorack

It's really good at recording loops:

I think you can do this with the internal sequencer but would need to check.

Heh, you're not even half the way there yet.

*Maybe good on guitar art... well whatever that is it's cool. I have a buddy who has a sink
shaped like a guitar that someone gave him.

Ahh ok, at first I thought they were real and I know you collect guitars. Then I looked again
and I thought they looked weird for some reason, I thought maybe some kind of artwork.
You must have a lot of room to have them laid out like that, my other buddy has over 60
of them and they take up an entire room in his house, and they are all in their cases, not
even displayed or anything.

Here’s a link to the guitars. Some are hung on the walls, there’s a stand that holds 8 and a rotating stand that holds six plus a triple and others. You do kinda have to walk sideways around a few :hihi:
I play them. If they were in a case I’d probably forget about them...the cases live in the loft.
I like looking at them and they break up the flat surfaces a whole bunch :-)
