Linear recording in FL studio was something I was interested in 10 years ago, good to see the devs are finally interested in opening up the daw to more guys like me.

Does anyone here used FL on a M1 mac with third party plugins and met with issue/bugs that you wouldn't get on an Intel mac? Or used FL on Rosetta with third party plugins without no issues?
What's the status of the native vs rosetta performance and stability? Wondering if I should buy m1 mac or not.

I use FL Studio seven days a week for several hours a day but the issue I'm running in to now is the way FL handles Pitch Bend, Mod Wheel and Aftertouch data. Since I've pretty much had to stop playing guitar I've been concentrating on playing keyboard more and have been laying down a lot of lead lines lately.

Let's say I record a lead line using my midi keyboard. In that performance I use the Mod Wheel for vibrato, Aftertouch to open the filter for certain notes and Pitch Bend to well bend a few notes.

Now I want to copy that performance to another generator in the same pattern to thicken up the lead sound.

Copy/Paste only copies the Note On/Off and Velocity data. It does not copy PB,MW or AT. If I want to copy those I have to open the browser (? :? ) find the generator, scroll down to for instance the AT data then manually copy that data to the new generator and that goes for PB and MW as well....every time. That is like hitting a brick wall in terms of workflow.

The detachment of performance data from note and velocity data is baffling but it's been that way forever.

I keep thinking I must be missing something somewhere since it can't possibly be this convoluted to deal with performance data in an otherwise well thought out DAW.

I've brought it up with the current support team and their response is that PB,MW, and AT is not part of the performance which is of course incorrect. If I record to audio my guitar playing and bend a note then that bend is part of the performance.

Someone please tell me I'm missing the painfully obvious and there is an easy way to copy PB,MW,and AT data..... :?

Sorry, but no...

Because Gol decided not to work with midi but implemented his own system, controller data are handeled like automation in FL Studio...

Because of that it´s not easy to copy and paste them...
They basically have to made unique and assigned to the new generator if this makes sense...

Gol had for sure his reasons to go this way but for classic midi handling it´s a nightmare...

See it positive... now you have a reason to improve your playing skills and can train to record your data the same way you did before... :D

That's the answer I expected but hey it was worth a try.

Because Gol didn't understand midi at all or had an unexplainable hatred for the industry standard. FL is still handcuffed by that even though he's been out of the picture for quite some time and FL is much better for his leaving.

There is no logical reason why all performance data isn't handled the same as velocity. That's what happens when you let a video game designer create a DAW.

Sure it's really positive that it would be easier to do the performance twice exactly the same way ( if you're a player then you know that doesn't happen exactly) than it would be to just copy all the performance data like the other DAWs I own do...... :tu:

Oh well it's been that way since day one so it is what it is. Other than that I'm perfectly happy with FL Studio. A simple "Copy All Data" option would solve it but when the people writing to code now don't understand the problem then there's no chance for a fix.
