Don't need anything but a Microsoft BT Mouse (or Magic Mouse) for working in a DAW, unless you want something with lots of buttons (but that also means loading up services like Synapse or Logitech G Hub).

Generally I prefer BT over the wireless dongles for productivity, because it frees up a USB slot.

For gaming, I prefer wired because I've had too many issues with 2.4GHz mice having connectivity issues. I just tried another one from Razer and returned it within 2 days because it kept disconnecting and freezing, and was even causing my games to minimize during play.

Not worth the trouble.

Where you put your PC relative to the mouse is also an issue. The dongles are relatively small, these days (a good thing), but this also means they are more susceptible to interference - even from your desktop computer case.

"Notifications for Nothing" are annoying. Blocking me in return is a good way to avoid this.
