I would have preferred CZ though.

They should do a whole speaker synth series: HS-60/80, HT-6000, SK-1, etc.

Those too! And the Cosmo Synth but maybe Cherry will do that one?

Which is why I think it's related to graphics code, so it crashes anything if its UI is showing. It starts to display, doesn't manage to draw everything, crashes.GusGranite wrote: Tue Apr 25, 2023 4:28 am It crashes all of those DAWs and standalone?? That's intense...
Yup. But I guess this will be one of those instances where only my machine has an issue. Maybe after my next computer build...
Surely there must be consensus by now...

I had to czech and you're right.
Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

Honestly, when I look at it I don't want to like it (for reasons mentioned above, such as limitations and a general impression of underwhelm), but I really think Baby Audio has created the same kind of thing they've always created: a tool that places UX above all else. Do I need this synth when I have Massive X, Serum, Pigments, u-he stuff? But I also didn't need Crystalline, Spaced Out, Parallel Aggressor, etc. And I use those ALL THE TIME. I really think I might pick this one up. Sometimes, I just can't be bothered to fiddle with Diva.

Did you bother reading anything about it before you made a complete idiot of yourself? Every second post here, for example, tells you it's based on a Yamaha CS01, it has nothing at all to do with anything from Roland.mholloway wrote: Tue Apr 25, 2023 4:46 pmI really thought they had said in the initial marketing that it wasn't an emulation of anything !? Now it turns out it's just another SH-101 emulation.
Anyhoo, I had a deeper play around with it last night and whilst it is certainly limited in breadth, it sounds ridiculously huge for a synth with no unison. The Speaker and Battery features are mostly gimmick but they work and add a bit more variety. I can see us getting a lot of use from it.
I'm not sure how much polyphony there is but I managed 17 voices last night, so it's at least that many. With 4 or 8 voice Unison this thing would be absolutely out of control. I think it sounds best in orange, too.

Oh no! Somebody said a plugin was an emulation of Synth X in a public form, and it was really an emulation of Synth Y! GASP!! The lives of many children were at stake due to this grievous mistake. Wars almost broke out between hundreds of nations. Loved leaders threatened to commit suicide. But it's ok, KVR's resident A**hole in Chief made sure to run to the scene and call the person an idiot!BONES wrote: Wed Apr 26, 2023 12:04 amDid you bother reading anything about it before you made a complete idiot of yourself? I know this is hard for you to understand because you scour every thread for ammunition to insult people with, incredible human being that you are, but sometimes people post in a thread before reading every -- or even, very many -- of the posts in that thread. Yep. It's a thing that happens (fire away, as you always do and surely will).
Anyhow, you never let my miserable expectations of you down, that's for sure

One may want to DL the demo first before buying (and not just for the obvious reason of making sure that it works on your system.) The email I rec'd gave me an extra 15% off on the low price of $49. I'm not sure exactly if this is a "general" promotion or something else. I do own other plugins from Baby Audio, so maybe it's based on that.

I was offered 10% off for subscribing to their newsletter, even though I don't own any of their products. Unfortunately for me, I got it a day after I'd already paid the full $49, so that's $5 I'll never see again.
That's right, you made a massive, completely absurd assumption, without doing so much as one minute of research to get yourself in possession of some actual facts, which made you look stupid. Now it looks like you want to double-down on your stupidity, just in case someone missed it the first time. It seems Forrest Gump had it right - "stupid is as stupid does".mholloway wrote: Wed Apr 26, 2023 2:35 amOh no! It ain't like you have to look too hard. In fact, I found your folly whilst reading the thread, just to be sure I hadn't missed anything that might make me post something as foolish as what you have.I know this is hard for you to understand because you scour every thread for ammunition to insult people with
Yep and it often leads to them looking as stupid as you do here. I've done it myself but I learned from my mistake. You could do well to learn the same lesson if you expect your opinion to be worth anything to anyone. So think of it as a bit of friendly advice. You're welcome.... sometimes people post in a thread before reading every -- or even, very many -- of the posts in that thread. Yep. It's a thing that happens (fire away, as you always do and surely will).

I'm liking these sounds, but the pitch stepping while bending is bugging me. Does the hw CS01 do that as well?

I would think that's a fair guess, in fact I recall them mentioning this in the introduction video.kevinsparks wrote: Wed Apr 26, 2023 4:08 am I'm liking these sounds, but the pitch stepping while bending is bugging me. Does the hw CS01 do that as well?

it sounds good and a bit different from other synths, I bought it but hope they develop it more, this could be the start of a really great synth if they add more features like a unison voice number/detuning, more oscs for fm etc, drag and drop modulation
