Thanks so much! I hope the demo part was informative and the performance part was entertaining!

Sorry I couldn't participate in the chat. I'm not sure what happened. It just said it couldn't connect to the chat and to try again later but I was never able to see if anyone was writing anything. A friend texted me to confirm that I was in fact live!

Post

All of it was good and entertaining! Seriously thank you for that!

One of the pedals, you mentioned as Fuzz Factory. Was that a Zvex? Yours has more knobs and looks like a Fairfield Circuit pedal.

I had the Chase Bliss Factory for awhile but sold it when I didn’t think I was making good use of it. It had some lovely sweet spots.

Yes, it's a clone of the Zvex Fuzz Factory. I built it into a Hammond enclosure, like Fairfield uses.

I don't even remember what the controls correspond with anymore, which is part of what I love. I'm pretty sure the two top knobs are the input and output levels but who knows which is which, lol!
I built a tone circuit which is loosely based on the big muff pi tone stack. I added a buffered output so that tone stack can have a really loud output. Nice for driving tube amps or sculpting feedback loops. I used some really nice old germanium transistors in my fuzz factory pedal.

Of course the Bliss Factory has a built in filter and it has the modulation stuff, so I know it must be a lot of fun! I bet it would get really crazy in a feedback loop.

lol, I'm so happy Orion stayed in the shot for my whole performance!!

Nice! I’m gonna need to remember this. I still need to build my Labor board, but this is exactly what I’d like to build. I might go with a wood enclosure, maybe even a cigar box.

Yes, it was really interesting and sounds were cool. Informative and entertaining. :tu:

Again, I could not see a chat, or the "click to join chat" button.
I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

Yeah, I’m not sure if I have the stream set up correctly or what... My friend Josh said he couldn’t get to the chat either. I had the chat window open but it had messages saying it couldn’t connect. No instructions about what to do.

I’ll figure it out, I’m still just kinda fumbling around with settings for now.

Thanks for watching, though!

I was using Chrome in MacOS.

I still have a feeling it may be related to the way I’ve formatted the link, so next time I’m going to provide several versions of the link and see which one works.

I like the mint tins as a hand held shaker box and I’ve even attached springs and wires to them before but it’s much better to have a rigid, pre-drilled surface for studio work.

I have parts to make ~50 more of the tins. I’ve done a few work shops with them. Maybe I should assemble one for the stream, as part of the feedback series.
