While it's the norm for many, companies have no obligation to add new functionality or post updates on forums. That said, having gone to the effort of producing one of the best VST synthesizers, it would clearly make business sense to be more active and market/promote the product and extensions throughout its lifecycle. A missed opportunity.

I sent an email to support about weird mouse behaviour in Logic many months ago and never had a reply.. that's the kind of service you get from Parawave, they just shamelessly pop up every year on Black Friday hawking for a few sales.. they should be embarrassed to be honest.

I have enjoyed using Rapid over the years and it has had some great updates, but given the current competition I wouldn't buy it now even at the sale price. Rapid is still extremely capable and still in some ways unique, but many others have come along (Phase Plant, Pigments, Avenger, Falcon to name a few) that are well supported and continuously updated.

Would love to have more 3rd party packs. When Aiyn Zahev/Sami Rabia reviewed Rapid in 2019, I also asked, if he was working on a soundpack and he said he was. But that did not materialize, probably because there was not enough buzz around the synth. So I think, more promotion would be good. While the updates have been excellent, I believe a lot of the users do not design sounds from scratch, so the synth could have more sounds from designers they love.

This is what I missed the most. Sound banks, especially quality thirrd party sound banks.

I keep having crashes, the manufacturer said it was my PC, but I now have a new one and still have the same problem

Though there are many competitors, but for me it is still rapid and fun to make my own presets. It has granular, multisample import option, sample resynthesis is nice especially for ambient pads and raw osc sound is better for me especially compared to Falcon, Phase Plant and Pigments. And it is much lighter on RAM compared to Avenger. So it has it's own place in production arsenal. No any crash during these years using it, but i am on Mac Os, can't say about Windows.

I have never had a crash in 4 years use and on 3 different PCs either (Win11), its stable and it is very good (top 5) which is what makes the lack of support/development/communication so frustrating for many.

yeah just some post and people have hopes again lol, sure better than nothing. the dev acted very strange when closing his own topic. and then goes missing just a small news while black friday. i judge of facts and releases and not hollow promises. their license is also NFR and yes the synth is awesome, but the company not. sems sales are still well for them, i see Avenger 2 actively worked on and responsive and yeah i like their DRM not at all but i see they are online and unlike Parawave you never know.
