Testing SpaceBlender reverb using a sequence I played on my Santur as audio input, tweaking things on the fly, experimenting with freeze and other functions. I like it!

Well you made me watch it with your pertinent commentzvenx wrote: Thu May 01, 2025 12:35 pmI assume you watched the video and saw the key modifiers pertinent to your OS to achieve this?

So I can now admit I didn't know ctrl+alt+click locks the mix knob for Soundtoys plugins.
Hopefully those reading my reply can learn this without having to watch the video, though it has enough knowledge and jokes to make it worthwile
In terms of GUI and UX I do prefer when things are labeled rather than cryptic commands.
But it's free and now I've watched the video I can see it can do a bit more than just long sci-fi reverbs.

I actually wasn't meaning to be pertinent, I was assuming that you probably watched the video after posting the comment.

I had another try with it, once on my electric guitar, I still prefer using the pedals in BIAS FX, or Supermassive or others.
But then I had an idea and I recommend it to anyone who likes to play, load a synth with an arp then put Space Blender on full mix after and experiment tweaking the synth and SB.

Tried it a bit and CPU went crazy. I use MBA (M2 chip).
Sounds good though and it's free. Probably similar sounds can be achieved with a granular fx + reverb.
Thanks to the soundtoys folks anyway.

I like Space Blender. This is a fun reverb/delay/otherwordly sound effect. Very much appreciated.
Does anyone know how I can keep Space Blender from trying to fetch news from the Soundtoys web site? I found no preference for suppressing these activities, therefore had to use my application network filter to block the DAW.

I thought in the past they used iLok cloud and physical. I see they just send a code to install. Is that all that is needed is the code to install/register, or is an iLok account required as well?

It's a code for Ilok account .

even free i wont fall into the pace/eyelock pit of despair and frustration. too bad ST doesnt have smoother licensing for their plugins.
I think Valhalla is the best and no fussing about.

I'm having fun with it as well. Playing MicroTonic through it. Love the 'warp' and Time knob combo, and the 'freeze' function.Sampleconstruct wrote: Thu May 01, 2025 1:04 pm Testing SpaceBlender reverb using a sequence I played on my Santur as audio input, tweaking things on the fly, experimenting with freeze and other functions. Fabulous reverb, easy to get very atmospheric ambient textures, really lovely - thank you ST, best freebie for a long time….

I just installed - iLok was optional, it gives you the option of registering to your computer.
