Toggling Lursen off in IK Module Manager (mac) and then hitting 'apply' worked for me. No longer listed in Live.

Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Wed Apr 23, 2025 2:35 pm Are you sure about that?
I checked Repaer and I no longer see the "Lursen Mastering EQ" listed in Reaper after I toggled it off in the Modules Manager and applied the changes. It, by all accounts, appears uninstalled. So my experience isn't lining up with it not actually uninstalling anything.
Or perhaps you're experiencing a bug?
No I'm absolutely NOT sure about that.

I didn't even bother to check since I just assumed it would be like the IK Software Manager but I just checked and the Modules Manager did indeed uninstall the Lurssen EQ so I stand corrected.

To be honest you can color me shocked that IK would finally allow us to easily uninstall something. :o

Yeah, credit where credit is due. It works as expected and does what you'd want.

Wait a minute....I'm having a senior day so things are not processing quickly...

So that means the installer makes users install all of the modules even if they don't own them then go back and manually delete the ones they don't own through the Modules Manager? Instead of just allowing people to install the modules they want in the first place?

My head is spinning so I'm going to take a nap...... :drunk:

Currently T-RackS 6 MAX is on sale for 99.99 for all. Those with previous versions and/or other software can use JamPoints to reduce that further by using those JamPoints for an extra up to 15% off.
Peter, you know very well that VAT is more than the amount that can be reduced with Jam Points.
All you are communicating here is, that IK doesn't value longtime customers.
Either buy the whole bundle again or be stuck with abandonware.
Why doesn't IK offer an 1:1 (only the plugins included in 5 MAX) upgrade option to 6 MAX for 5 MAX owners?
We had intro pricing on the upgrade to T-RackS 6 MAX upon release and currently you can get the upgrade with 9 new modules you don't have all for 99.99 (11.11/each - or 9.44/each using JamPoints).

And I am sorry that taxes are high where you are but we do not control that but we must by law charge the appropriate tax. JamPoints are of value to many customers considering I see them used on the vast majority of orders from existing customers.

Yeah, that's the point I was trying to make yesterday when I said IK will always find a way to turn one click into three.

Brutally efficient workflows with no process waste are not their hallmark.

Even in ToneX: if you rename a preset/capture, you get a pop-up saying it can't be undone. 1) There's no undo option anywhere (i.e. nothing can be undone), and 2) of course it can! You can rename them as many times as you'd like! There's not a limit of one! If you cancel a capture and start again, you get a pop-up message saying something like, "Are you sure you want to discard your capture and start again?" Guess what? There's absolutely no way to resume a capture so the only option is to discard and start again. So what's the message for? I think I could remove like 3 or 4 unnecessary screens and a dozen clicks from the ToneX capture process.

They just have their own way of doing things. But hey, if everyone was like U-he (as one example), then companies like U-he wouldn't be as special.

The thing is, I don't need any of those nine new modules. All I want is the plugins I already purchased to be futureproof. I'd rather pay 39.99.- to update the plugins I already have than 99.99.- for nine plugins I don't need. But I understand that this is not the way your business model works. So I will just use 5 MAX as long as it works and then move on.

Here’s a weird thing with my Jampoints Peter;

I had 28 Jampoints, put T-RackS 6 Max in my cart, applied the max allowed Jampoints on a €99 order (which were 15 points). Got distracted and got back to the cart page later and the page refreshed, my cart was empty.

Ok that happens, especially on mobile. So I added it to my cart and wanted to apply the Jampoints again but to my horror saw that now my Jampoints balance was down to 13!

The 15 Jampoints I had applied to my cart had vanished even though I did not check out and went through payment yet.

I recall that they will automatically reappear in your account in 24 hours or so and failing that, contact support.

They will go back within 2 hours per https://www.ikmultimedia.com/jampoints but usually faster. Also yes please seek IK Support if they do not return, though.

There’s not a whole lot to compare there, but I can tell you for sure IK’s Dual Spring is a hell of a lot better than Twangström. And despite people around here claiming Diva can do anything, last time I checked it can’t capture an amp.

I wasn't talking about sound, I was talking about workflow and Customer Experience.

U-he doesn't really do stuff like "let's make users install a bunch of stuff they don't want, then build an entirely separate application to uninstall the things they don't want".

Perhaps not, but u-he also has a tiny fraction of the products that IK has, despite being around almost as long. So there’s not a lot of similar cases to compare.

I think a fair comparison would be the Uhbik effects suite to the T-RackS effects suite. The T-RackS installer doesn’t let you choose which plugins from the suite you want to install. Does Uhbik?

I'm not sure, but even that's probably not an apt comparison because you can't buy just "some" Ubhiks.

That's why everyone thinks IK is weird in this regard. The only other company that does "we'll make you install everything, even products you don't own" is Universal Audio with their DSP plugins only. Literally no one else makes users jump through hoops like this.
