So , did you Studio One users really ask for all the things they did for " Version 7 " I know Presonus had a video where they said they listened to there Users and then told you about 1 version of S1 and the Subscription etc etc . Is that what y'all asked for and wanted ???

I believed them. But it almost a year, and my year of updates soon be over. They promised 4 significant updates in this cycle, but delivered 2 so so.

Nope, this was for new customers more than anything. Not that there's a problem with that ofc.fedexnman wrote: Thu Jun 19, 2025 2:39 pm So , did you Studio One users really ask for all the things they did for " Version 7 " I know Presonus had a video where they said they listened to there Users and then told you about 1 version of S1 and the Subscription etc etc . They wiped the slate clean like a fresh start. Anything before Fender and V7 is not our problem, it was stated as much when people asked about prior bugs. This is a new product so direct your questions to it. Again not a problem it's fine.
I always payed up within 24hrs of a new version to support the company but something smells off with this new direction and some of the gate keepers working on behalf of them, so I stayed on V6. It's down to them to deliver what was promised. It's just words otherwise and they mean diddly squat when your actions say other wise.

7.2 is an insane update to me as someone with a specced out Mac - I keep hammering how s1 is more stable to me as well to see if anyone else comments on this but I feel I’m alone.
I would like to see modulators be added to studio one and the macro controls automation. Also all I want more then anything is for the automation to follow regions button to either not be in a menu within a menu and it being a visible button or something we can keybind. I will never understand how such a workflow forward daw has this feature so buried

Have you tried keyboard shortcuts or macros? it's the way to make those deep menu functions rise.

Studio one has always been pretty stable for me on both Mac and Windows. So I can’t say that I would notice any change there. But the Apple Silicon multicore optimization is definitely noticeable and appreciated.qtheerearranger wrote: Sun Jun 22, 2025 7:07 pm 7.2 is an insane update to me as someone with a specced out Mac - I keep hammering how s1 is more stable to me as well to see if anyone else comments on this but I feel I’m alone.

So I've made a macro for it - my issue is that I've made a macro for nearly everything- running out of keyboard shortcuts - trying out some custom macro toolbars that I'm making for the less used stuff to clear stuff up but its a pita when you just want to jam. Attached is a photo of the macro if anyone wants to make it for themselves. You need to click the wrench in the arranger and turn off automation follows events to make your duplicate not duplicate automation - this lets you have it both ways with the macro. Anyways would be nice if we could just click an automation follows events icon in the arranger somewhere.wikter wrote: Mon Jun 23, 2025 2:46 am Have you tried keyboard shortcuts or macros? it's the way to make those deep menu functions rise.

It's one of the most stable DAW's that's for sure. Never had any issue's on Windows machines.
I run a custom key command set up, it's like a Cubase S1 hybrid. Mouse with side buttons and a keyboard with macro keys helps a bit. You can simplify some of the key commands with macro's, things like copy and paste for example to stream line actions and free up keys. All I do here is highlight the area, select were I want to paste to, hit the defined key, it cuts copy's and paste's in one action from the C key. A few little tweeks like this may help you find some spare keys for the burried commands.
If you have an Ipad etc the connect APP or what ever it's called is handy, it's like having a free streamdeck to some extent. I havn't used it for a while mind you because my Andriod pad is ancient now.

Bought the crossgrade from Bitwig (because I like this classic DAW approach enriched with a lot of composing tools) for 99€! Wow, wish Bitwig would do such pricing. How much did I already pay for Bitwig, 600€++?
Feels good, but for some reason dawproject support still seems to be buggy, so I would like to report that. Question now is, where to report bugs? Using the support system on the webpage?
And sencond question: How can I make S1 load the last opened project on start?

I've sent a message to Tech Support for bug reports in the past. They are responsive and have investigated the reports and passed them on when needed.
I don't think there is a way to set Studio One to load the last opened song on start. That seems like a bad idea, since once you do that you'll be stuck in the same song forever. But what you can do when you start is go to the tab that says "Recent Files" and it will show a list of your most recently opened songs, in descending order, with the most recent at the top. When you select that tab, it will open to it next time you launch.

Another thing you can do is create a shortcut to your song you want to open at start, and use it to launch Studio One.

Thanks.
I've seen those mix fx inserts in older versions of Studio One, I think. But it seems to be removed now, is there mix fx per track? I only see it on the master, and then there is just one choice "Console Shaper".
