Same here.
I have this bad feeling that coders have left and the replacement isn't up to the task.
Noel is still at the helm and has been since about forever - he's been with Cakewalk since before Sonar.
It's sweet of you defending Sonar daw. However, can you swear that no coders have left?

I'm not in the defense businesss - just stating the facts
However, can you swear that no coders have left?
What question is that? How could I? - I don 't work for their HR department after all.

Can you swear the same about any DAW-developing company (okay, the really small ones like Cockos and Mulab aside - and even with these we don't really know for certain who exactly is doing what)? Sorry, but that's a profoundly silly and naive question.

I remember Noel, Seth and Brandon and think Craig Anderton was closely affiliated as well.
- but which are coders?

Thinking how Windows works
- press Windows button
- start typing and loads of examples, often recently used first, come up
- this might be a quicker way

But if they built their own language model and start with full words only like "bounce" as in example above?

So if you type
- "bo" and loads of options come up with "bounce", could be fast way
- and learning from "internal recently used" list etc
- maybe I judge on too little information

Sonar Artist 2015 is the only daw I have installed. Great daw....with quirks I can live with...Windows updates stopped a year ago so nothing changes, it should work.....

Because AI? What is that supposed to mean?
Just that they jumped on the AI bandwagon.

If you can't beat them, join them, I reckon. :-?

Yeah, you can dismiss this new feature as AI if that's your thing...

(Not the first and certainly neither the last time people partake in stupid trends without even first engaging as much as a single brain cell and talking irritating crap while being at it )

Oh, look - here's me, defending Sonar once again... (And I don't even like the thing)

Noel yes. Don't remember Seth without a last name. Brandon was a demo guy. Anderton is technical but AFAIK hasn't coded for DAWS.
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

He did macros and stuff - he also invented Quadrafuzz by the way...

BandLab is offering a one-year sub for Cakewalk Sonar for $70 USD, and allegedly there's a flash sale to get it discounted further by a whopping $3.00 :!: -- making it $67, but no one seems to be get that to work - https://bnd.la/eoy-flashdeal

Totally hypothetical, but imagine if Nuno Bettencourt said:
“Yeah, we write on SONAR. I just sub for a month when we’re in production — the rest of the time I’m on the free tier lol.”
SONAR’s perceived value would skyrocket overnight.
But hey, it doesn’t have to be Nuno — any big-name artist would do. 😄
