Website still says 1.04, and the download file still reports as 1.04 :?

n/m, must be my browser cache. Downloading :)
Thanks for flagging that!
I forced the API route for version checking to be dynamic, so it should no longer get confused by the browser cache now - but do let me know if anyone still struggles to get the latest.

*Important*
Any Mac users who downloaded 1.1.0, there is a critical fix, please download 1.1.1 or be doomed to crackles and CPU death!!

Apologies for the mishap there, and thanks to those who emailed in really quickly to alert us.

Yeah, it set Bitwig on fire. I've never seen that happen before. Seems fixed in 1.1.1

Very friendly, open minded fellow, also open for suggestions. Keep in mind that this seems to be a one man band, or small company, so you might not get a response after a few hours in more busy times. Funnily, this is often much worse with the usual larger companies. :hihi:

Really good. I've been in contact with the dev since the release and all of my suggestions/requests have been implemented now.

Hey! Nice to know Solstice is growing!

I don't understand this one:
New parameter: Sticky mode - position sticks during note release for static playhead behaviour

Can you tell what it's doing?

Yes apologies for the explanation there - if sticky mode is on, when you note off the release tail of that voice stays put, even when you move position and start other notes. To hear this very clearly turn the release up and click a few notes around on the map.

If sticky mode is not on it reverts to previous behaviour which is all the notes always follow the global XY position.

Hope that's clear.

Thanks,
Cam

Yes, now it is clear! Nice addition! Thanks 🙏❤️

Any chance for Linux and HiDPI/4k scaling support?
Vendor‑Dependent Copy Protection: Customers lose. Pirates win.
(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

When you say “HiDPI/4k scaling support”, do you mean:

1.) the UI is physically larger/smaller (a user-adjustable UI scale was implemented in 1.1)
2.) the UI is crisp/not blurry at 150–250% OS scaling (this shouldn't be an issue)
3.) per‑monitor DPI behavior when moving between screens
or something else?

Our UI is rendered via an embedded webview and is devicePixelRatio aware so it should be crisp on HiDPI displays.

Re: Linux: we’d love to support it, but it’s not something I can promise yet. If you’re happy to help test, I can try to produce a Linux VST build for you privately sometime though.

By the way, calling all testers for 1.2 - we're looking at the next test build being available towards the end of January.

We'll have a bunch of parameters coming in. 5 or so crafted spectral manipulations to dramatically affect the sound - I'm quite excited to show people but it'll be great to have some feedback and opinions.

These are the main (but not the only) features coming into 1.2, which we'll announce properly after beta testing :).

We have some beta testers from 1.1 which we'll be in touch with again - If anyone else is interested in trying it out, email us at info@minuit.am.

Thank you for inventing this! I've done a lot of sculptural work with samples and I've been looking for this tool for many years; to dissect and then poke around within the sample is a whole new dimension for me and inspiring. If you're taking feature requests still, I'd like to have the ability to check a box and instantly reverse the wav, and also a way to normalize it. A step sequencer to turn the sound on/off as it cycles, independent of the cycle rate but synced to your DAWs tempo, too would be extraordinarily cool and useful. I can do this with Shaperbox or whatever, but it'd significantly enhance productivity to have it right there when you're working with the opened up sample in Solstice.

Thanks :) - so lovely to hear this feedback!

Noted on the features, input control like normalisation would be especially handy IMO, we will add all your requests to the list - it's unlikely to be in soon though as we're currently deep into 1.2.

With that said we're still looking for more beta testers to put 1.2 beta through it's paces! So far we have these new features in:

- Auto pitch detection sets root note on loading a sample (along with root note cents control, click the arrow to reset to the detected pitch)
- New pitch mode: crisp (shifts partials only, partial tracking now during analysis)
- 5 Spectral FX (texture,tilt,flutter,stretch/squash,bloom) - all operating per voice
- Saturation (master bus, tanh anti-aliased AADA algorithm)
- Reverb mod control (random pitch modulation)
- "glue" compressor control (single control for amount, compact but can achieve OTT style compression)

2 more main features include MTS-ESP microtuning integration and MPE. Opinions on minimum viable MPE controls you need to work with your controllers are very welcome, plus any nice-to-haves.

I guess this turned into a proper announcement but there you go, that'll be 1.2 and we're aiming to release the update in the next month or so.

Those extra FX have ramped up the CPU a little, understandably, so we need lots of testers to put it through its paces and make sure no regressions or problems have been introduced.

Email us at info@minuit.am to take part in the beta.

Thanks!
