Just posting here to do a sanity check. Am I correct in understanding that Env 2 is hardwired to the amp section? (This is not mentioned in the manual, and is not obvious from the UI.) I spent half an hour trying to control the decay time of a sound with Env 1 and was only able to modulate it a tiny bit with Env 1. I then discovered that Env 2 worked for this purpose just fine, even though not a single modulator is set up to use Env 2. (Screenshot below of a default/init kit with the only changes that I set a pitch for OSC 2 and increased its oscillator volume, then set Env 2 to Linear so I could clearly hear the changes in Decay time.) Env 2 affects both Osc 1 and 2.

I have Attack 2 but never used it in a project because of the terrible thin sound.
Does this Attack3 has a more fatter sound ?

Changes in Version 3.0.1
• New factory kit “ZMIX SDSV” by Chuck Zwicky
• The name of the currently selected Sound is displayed below the Kit name
• Samples can be frequency-modulated (FM)
• Added automation of selection parameters like on/off buttons, oscillator or filter types etc.
• MIDI Maps are now automatically saved with the DAW project. However, it’s still a good idea to save them separately as they then can be used in saved kits as well.
• Loading single Sounds keeps Bus setting and Solo status in Mixer
• Shift+Scroll Wheel allows for finer adjustments on continuous controls
• Scroll Wheel can be used on selection popups such as Oscillator Shape to select entries
• Flanger mix polarity now follows feedback polarity resulting in much nicer flanging
• Loaded samples are selected and shown in the respective sample browser (note that you need to switch to Preset or User manually to show the right browser view)
• Fixed possible silence when previewing samples
• Fixed crash in Reaper on Windows
• Fixed bug in Comb Minus filter type
• Fixed modulation of envelope attack rates by an LFO when the attack rate is at its minimum
• XOR and Single mode voice allocation now click-free
• Further bug fixes and improvements

Oh cool, seems automation area was rewritten to v2 accurate fashion, with subfolders etc. And even modulation selectors now automatable.
Thanks to devs, appreciated (for that ok will buy upgrade for PPGv3 and Largo

I tested the new update today. It's feeling more polished and fun.
Still has the issue that the last visited folder isn't remembered even inside the same oscillator in the current session, so setting up e.g. round robins in deeply nested folders gets really tedious but I guess that's for another update. It's more more fun now.

Sorry for offtop a bit - recently heard sounds from Waldorf Iridium, pretty liked.
Then pretty impressed by declared engine features.
Just wondering if Waldorf has plans to release it as a vst plugin ? I would definitely grab.

I have noticed that the manual does not mention that on a Mac, the only user samples it will recognize must be .WAV files. Attack 3 does not recognize .AIF or .AIFF files.
On a Mac, there are two folders Attack 3 interrogates in Sample mode when you Browse and click “User”:
1. Your Main Drive/Library/Audio/Presets/Waldorf/Attack 3/Samples
2. Your Main Drive/Users/YourName/Library/Audio/Presets/Waldorf/Attack 3/Samples
You can stick your .WAV files in either and it will find them.

Battalion is good by features, but i passed it exactly because wild cpu eating, very uninspiting feel. Although i tried it at release stage only, idk maybe this was improved later.
