Great fun to use on bass lines…amongst other things.

Very nice! I've tested both functions and work great so far.fineincrements wrote: Sun May 10, 2026 8:36 pm Wanted to let you know both of your suggestions (user defined grid in the drawing area, and drag-to-zoom scaling in the dB visualization area) have been implemented and are live with v1.0.5 - available on the download page. thanks, they were awesome requests!

Absolutely! Phase Warp, i've discovered is delicious for this kind of funky bass business. There are so many applications. I have pro composers using it, one Emmy winning and Grammy nominated, because of it's ability to cleanly shape delicate scores in emotive ways, without destroying phase, as many spectral processors do. A lot of work went into designing a Ferrari of an engine under the hood, so it doesn't necessarily "taint" the input signal, it just shapes it (Magnitude Mode, in particular). Think of it like having a very complex clock with many interconnected gears and parts that all have to move in lockstep to keep perfect time.ftech wrote: Mon May 11, 2026 4:32 am And not just Neuro either…

Thanks, and you're very welcome! If you (and any other users reading this) wouldn't mind leaving a review here on KVR and in your customer portal online, it'd really mean a lot. For an indie developer this is really impactful

Hey wanted to update you that I've released a free browser-based wavetable generator that allows you to create "stitched" wavetables with a set number of single cycle frames that will import cleanly into Wavefield's keyframe system. It's a little bonus mode under the "keyframes" tab. You might also find the main modes fun and useful for all kinds of table creation.RPH wrote: Sun Apr 19, 2026 12:18 pm I created a wavetable with 16 frames in Ocean Swift Wavetable Creator, when I drag 'n drop it into the Wavetable editor of Wavefield it doesn't recognise the 16 cycles. The editor just fills all 20 keyframes with what is in the wavefile.
Single waveform drag 'n drop works (I should have read the manual), but I can only import 1 file. Dropping another into e.g. keyframe 2 overwrites the first imported file. It would be nice to drag 'n drop single cycles into each of the 20 keyframes.

If you link me to the problematic .wav you created in Ocean Swift, or DM me I can help you sort out what's happening there, and why it might not be importing as 16 keyframes. I'm guessing the file was created at a different frame size than what it's being imported into Wavefield with. I don't think Ocean Swift includes metadata in their exports, which would be used by Wavefield (since 1.0.6 update) to determine frame size, and that makes it tougher to import predictably without manually matching export and import frame size. but I can tell you exactly what's going on if you send the file

Great, will try that. Thanks for letting me know.
I created a new test wavetable for you.
Frames=16, Framesize=2048
(At the import window in Wavefield I selected 2048 as framesize)
I also created a wavetable using https://lambdasynthetics.com/wavetable-designer/
Frames=20, Framesize=2048
Each frame starts and ends at 0. That isn't what I see in Wavefield.
(At the import window in Wavefield I selected 2048 as framesize)
Maybe I'm overthinking how this works with wavetables.. dunno.

No, you're not overthinking at all! It's all valuable feedback and I've kept your original comments in mind all along. Wavefield v1.0.6 (released only days ago) actually addressed the root cause of stitched tables imported this way showing up in keyframes out of alignment sometimes.RPH wrote: Thu May 28, 2026 3:02 pm Great, will try that. Also in this version is the addition of metadata writing and reading to make imports into Wavefield and also reading of Wavefield exports in Serum, etc. smoother and require less fiddling. All of this was to prepare Wavefield fully for use with its companion wavetable generator released yesterday.
All that is to say, just download 1.0.6 and you should be good: https://www.fineincrements.com/wavefield/download
I'm assuming you're still on an earlier version. I just tested your files in 1.0.6 and they loaded into keyframes perfectly. Please confirm it's resolved on your end. Thanks so much for the files and report!

Yeah, I was still at version 1.0.5.
Confirmed: Version 1.0.6 import is indeed placing the frames correctly, very nice!
PS:
I notice while switching wavetable files Wavefield isn't keeping its settings, every import resets all the plugin parameters.
Parameter lock would be nice.
Cheers,
Rob

Hey Rob, thanks for the confirmation! Wavefield has always had a parameter lock button in the upper left corner of the main visualization. Maybe not super obvious that it's there...RPH wrote: Fri May 29, 2026 1:13 pm Yeah, I was still at version 1.0.5.

Ah, right.. thanks Seth.
It's in the documentation, guess I overlooked that bit.

One of those spontaneous purchases that was based on my perceived impression of it’s uniqueness, and every time I hear it’s effect in one of my recordings…I smile and get excited to use it again!
It is a great processor to run on lush reverbs (like Zynaptiq’s ‘Adaptiverb’)…creating a type of ambient ‘filtering’ VERY different than any of my other attempts to create spectral motion and effects on verbs…more like a ‘change in barometric pressure’ on the targeted ‘atmosphere’.
Very pleased with my purchase
