Tracktion 2 - excuse me for being cynical

Just to add some perspective...
There are guitar pedals that cost as much as Traktion. Personally it doesn't float my boat, but to even suggest that it is too expensive is utterly rediculous.

It would be kinda nice to have a drum editor. But then again, I use DR-008 with Slicey and Fill-In drummer, and it does all that a drum editor does and more. It would be nice though, as alot of people have mentioned wanting this.

200$ is not so bad if it'll be really good. At least more people will take it serious now that it's not so cheap
Feature list is quite impressive, but I still have to try it out for myself to see if new featuers fits the way I'm working. I hope there will also be a version available without any added plugins (except those that are native to it of course, like the sampler, if it's still like it was in T1) for a lower price. I like to choose my own plugins to work with and don't want to pay additional cost for stuff I will not be using. Although there is some cool stuff in the package, most of it I don't need.

Even if they technically are (I don't know) it probably doesn't matter. Unless things have changed, cakewalk doesn't use any protection like dongles or challenge response. They just load from the disk and once they are on your machine that's it.
You can probably get tech support using the original owners name, or using the serial number of the disk.

Not an endorsement of this store. I don't know anything about it.
Just Googled for it and found it here for $160:...when you buy P5 between February an April, you get P5 II for free from Cakewalk...and at the moment you can buy P5 for about 170$ at ebay....

Just in case any of you missed this in the T forum, Beno just announced that the version of RMIV shipping with T2 will be the FULL (2 CD's) version only limitation is you can only run it in T2 (just like the FinalMix plug).
