One thing Project5 doesn't do is work on a Mac. Cross-platform is one critical feature for me, though Project5 2 does look cool.

- you get people who are very platform loyal.
- people who are still looking for the most
productive platform for themselves
- people who prefer a multiplatform approach.
This explains why the market is so diverse IMHO.
It also explains why apps like Plogue Bidule , Energy XT and AudioMulch for example will always have a place even within an app like Live for example.
I still think P5 and Logic come with better native plugins overall.
The biggest deal in P5 is PsynII , Dimension the standard Sampler and the drum syhtesizers etc IMHO.
Live has a superb workflow but the marriage between arranger and session view needs drastic improvement for it to be perfect IMHO.
Reason 3 - especially with the Combinator is a breath of fresh air in Live for example (well it is for me anyway) etc etc etc .......

You can. It's just not very easy - there's a config file there somewhere which lists all the colors used in the GUI...mr. Henke shared some of his custom ones at the Ableton forum. I still think that the default ones are very pleasing, though.braj wrote:Now if we could only create our own color schemes...

Beeing a Live customer becomes a real threat. I bought 3 last year, upgraded to 4 - now 5. What a money making machine... Well, i like it anyway

I read the press release over at Harmony-Central,and right in the middle, they stuck an ad for Tracktion2!!
Kind of rude...
Out of all that new stuff, the one thing that got me excited was something that should have been there years ago:count-in recording.
And I too hope they can trim the CPU use a bit...

Sorry - Had a little to much to drink last night when I read the news - didn't mean to slag Cakewalk so muchCosmic Bandito wrote:These guys hit it out of the park!
All that was needed to complete the package for me was..
FX groups
Freeze
Arp
Looks like they came through, and all powererd by a stable german engineered engine!
If your CPU can't handle it ...time to upgrade! I think Crapwalk really tried to steal their thunder, but test the sequencer engines head to head youll see it's like a BMW and Ford...
It's not often you see a press release for your favorite sequencer that adds every feature on your wishlist

PDC works for third party plugs that support it and can be turned off.

Finally.
Yeah, that would be nice. I'm recording my vinyl and it takes 2-5 minutes per track to correctly set warp markers.
