I have paid Roland cloud for about 3 months as a reminder that I should be using what I pay for. I’ve have the v collection from arturia and kind of ignored it. It may not be the most accurate but it has a broad sound pallet that I should use.

I tried the system-8 softsynth and have some problems:
1.
A patch i made doesn't reload like saved. (it sounds like it's syncs/phases the OSCs totally weird and produces higher pitched sounds..much different as saved.
On DAW total recall it's the same. (sometimes it will work after changing some patches back and forth)
When i reload the synth-vst and select the patch, it's alright.
2. When the "sync" button is pressed, the "time" knobs of LFO and Delay will only work when you click on the lower half of the knob.
The mouse doesn't work on the upper half of the knob.
3. I changed a patch from the original preset bank ..and now i can't get the original presets back.
(tried to reinstall..no preset bank)

The preset banks are contained within the plugin bundle (at least on the Mac).Klinke1 wrote:3. I changed a patch from the original preset bank ..and now i can't get the original presets back.

If you delete the preset banks, the next time you load the plugin, it will see the presets are not installed and recopy them from it's bundle back to the preset directory.
(At least this is true for the D50/JV10180, I'd assume the others work the same way, but haven't checked.)

Thanks for the reply..but..sniff..not with the system-8.
I saved my banks and tried to delete all and reloaded then reinstalled.
(After that i saved all original banks from others.
For System-100/Sh-101/Sh2/Promars are "original banks" to download on website!!)

To restore the factory presets:
1. Go to C:\ProgramData\Roland Cloud\ and move the folder of the afflicted plug-in to the Desktop
2. Start DAW, add the plug-in to a track
As regards the random patches, disconnect any external audio interface and/or controller, and test it with the internal sound card.
--
Thanks Roland (the audio-dude)
(test with internal soundcard!?
that means to install the driver and get it going...and then? Go back to Babyface and have weird preset-recall?)

In fairness, the TR-909 was already announced with the SRX Orchestra alongside the TR-808, so it was gonna happen! hopefully the next thing is the JD!Caine123 wrote:TR-909 released, sadly no JD-800/jd-990

Just installed the new TR-909 plugin which is nice and personally i am waiting more for the TB-303 and JP-8000/8080 than for a JD-990. The Vintage synth expansion for the JV-1080 plugin would be great too.Shiek927 wrote:In fairness, the TR-909 was already announced with the SRX Orchestra alongside the TR-808, so it was gonna happen! hopefully the next thing is the JD!Caine123 wrote:TR-909 released, sadly no JD-800/jd-990
For those who did not notice yet the "Anthology 1993" sample library (3 volumes with 192 presets overall) is based on the JD-990.

Just had a irst lok at the new TR-909 plugin.
Like the TR-808 the Roland Cloud TR-909 allows using sub outputs for routing the instruments to dedicated audio tracks.
It also seems to be possible to import and export patterns with the new TR-8S hardware.
With the plugin loaded In your DAW software you could export patterns by drag&drop as both MIDI and Audio. By default in the Options menu "Drag & Drop Pattern as MIDI" is selected but you could also select "Drag & Drop Pattern as Audio".
For that you click and hold one of the 8 (A to H) pattern variation buttons (either in the main GUI or the pattern editor) and then drag&drop the MIDI or Audio clip to a MIDI or Audio track. I have checked that in Live 10.
Like with the TR-808 plugin the pattern editor is opened with the EDIT button. In the browser you could create new banks for saving your own patterns.

I love their Juno 106 !
The only thing I'm not happy with is that one can not save the GUI size and MIDI settings. That seemsx to be taken care of by the DAW. So if one open a totally new session in a new project you'll have to edit teh GUI size and midi settings all over again.

Separate audio outs don't work properly on the 808 VST3 version. VST2 is OK though.Ingonator wrote:...Like the TR-808 the Roland Cloud TR-909 allows using sub outputs for routing the instruments to dedicated audio tracks...
Not being able to trigger patterns with MIDI notes is a downer. You have to have it running from song start to end.

Saving a default preset for the plugin saves the GUI size as well, works fine here in Reaper.

Love the 909. It's worth noting that both 909 and updated 808 now have linear knobs. I don't think the 808 had this before, but I may be wrong. Anyway, hopefully coming to other synths as well.

The 808 was updated a few days ago, I think it said 1.01 whilst updating but I couldn't find any notes on the update and the REV status of the plug didn't seem to be updated after the update....raymondwave wrote:Love the 909.
