I have mixed feelings about this one. There's something funky about voice handling, with polyphony turned up to 8 it sometimes doesn't play all the notes in a chord, even if it's simple 4 note chords with gaps between them. The envelopes are also kinda ass. On the other hand, some of the presets sound really pretty, so I'll dig deeper.
So far Oberhausen is much better imo.

Every now and again, but that’s not the crux of it - it’s slow at 44.1._leras wrote: Sat Jun 26, 2021 8:49 am I would literally never find that bug. How often do you change sampling rate in a project?
gets faster as you increase sampling rate, its not really responsive at 44.1 compared to other synths.
Also they refuse to acknowledge it. How well can it be modelled if it changes behaviour with sampling rate? How much is it really worth if they ignore bugs for months - even a year?
I’ve used alpha software more reliable than that

If you like those instruments, then Knifonium will absolutely make a great addition to your arsenal. It's a huge CPU hog but it sounds great.Seelachsfilet wrote: Sat Jun 26, 2021 6:50 am49$ right now... is it worth getting if you already own Diva, Vaccum Pro and other similar VSTs?
Why is that a problem? It's interesting, maybe something to be aware of, but I don't see how it's a problem.Ploki wrote: Sat Jun 26, 2021 8:33 amParameter (gui interaction and automation) response changes with sampling rate. Not sure about MIDI

It becomes a problem if you’re automating them in your DAW or tracking at 96k or something. What you play/automate won’t translate to other samplerates

A bit off-topic, but is it okay to sell my Kinofonium plugin license? Didn't see listing on this before.

Yes, it's possible, but most of the plugins from Plugin Alliance don't have a great resale value... It's possible to buy Knifonium right new from PA for $29.99, so honestly, a good value for sell it would be between $15-$20 maximum.phreaque wrote: Sat Jun 26, 2021 2:55 pm A bit off-topic, but is it okay to sell my Kinofonium plugin license? I just got it after I realised you get another 20% off with that Summer Sale code, it was around 25€ in the end. It has a lovely and very gritty sound, I personally like it a lot (after only fiddling around an hour or so) and can recommend it for the current price.
The original price of 300 USD is honestly a bad joke lol but I doubt anyone would pay the full price anyways.

It has a great sound. I really like it a lot but it is a real cpu hog! It has a lovely character and it is usable with all kind of sounds (Bass, Lead, Pad and effects).
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.
