I'm not following the progress on this, but casually seeing there was a new beta I decided to give it another shot (past releases have been unstable and unusable on my system). I don't know what you guys did, but it's no longer crashing on me....no spikes...no system overloads in Logic. Can load multiple instances without issue.

Nope, you really should do some research.VELLTONE MUSIC wrote: Sat Aug 27, 2022 5:18 pm Gary Numan 'Are Friends Electric' story is enough about all sound protection - Gary enter the studio, find Moog synth played by somebody previously and use the settings for his song
You're posting such incredible rubbish, it's no wonder ppl get in trouble

I cant even follow what people are arguing about anymore! The ROM isn't 'sounds' its the source code of pretty much the entire synth as written by Access developers run on an emulator.
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

hard to follow as details changed,SLiC wrote: Sat Aug 27, 2022 7:06 pm I cant even follow what people are arguing about anymore! The ROM isn't 'sounds' its the source code of pretty much the entire synth as written by Access developers run on an emulator.
it was suggested that no laws existed to protect synths, because sound designers are pets working for free, because gary numan used a synth, that someone else had used so no one has invented a tool to protect sound, but this guy has been working on one for years, despite there being no law that makes such a tool applicable.
and i found out, a lot more of my friends, are imaginary, than i first thought.

Don’t forget the part about the monkey!
Vendor‑Dependent Copy Protection: Customers lose. Pirates win.
(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

In the case of the Access Virus, it (the ROM) contains the code to run the synth and contains hundreds of presets. To be clear, I own the Virus C and happily use the ROM image for the DSP56xx emulator. If Access has an objection I'll take their concerns under consideration. It would be nice if they maintained the parts to service these units.SLiC wrote: Sat Aug 27, 2022 7:06 pm I cant even follow what people are arguing about anymore! Yeah the latest version is supergood on Logic, almost no cpu whatsoever, just as much as a regular AU instrument.hurricaneaudiolab wrote: Sat Aug 27, 2022 6:06 pm I'm not following the progress on this, but casually seeing there was a new beta I decided to give it another shot (past releases have been unstable and unusable on my system). Don't rely on the DAW's CPU meter. The emulator works a bit different. Check your operating systems task manager to see how much CPU the plugin actually uses.Septic Underground wrote: Mon Aug 29, 2022 1:25 pmYeah the latest version is supergood on Logic, almost no cpu whatsoever, just as much as a regular AU instrument.hurricaneaudiolab wrote: Sat Aug 27, 2022 6:06 pm I'm not following the progress on this, but casually seeing there was a new beta I decided to give it another shot (past releases have been unstable and unusable on my system). The DAW's CPU meter could show 3 or 4 % load, and you'd still get drop outs with the emulator.
