No idea about 2nd hand sales, but you can get 30% off the upgrade at The Loop Loft with discount code LPGM30 (I don't know how long that code is valid).

Thanks for the tip! That's a little more tempting at that price, although I'm still not totally convinced.

Thankyou - bought - hope it's valid

+1 on that code. Upgrade worked for me. This is the price it should have been to begin with

Thanks for the tip Chapelle!

Don't know if I'm gonna get it right now even with this discount. You badge holders, how much discount did you get in the bitwig shop? Just curious..

To be honest I don't think the upgrades will be able to be transferred, but it would be nice if they could :)

There something about the fm synth I can't really put my finger on , it sure is phase modulation , operator 1 feedbacking itself gives us a saw .
But when modulating by operator 2 ( set to ratio 1 ) , it sounds totally different then any other phase mod.synth .
They have increased the modulation depth amount , but it sounds nowhere near phase modulation/FM .
The carrier fundamental is always bleeding trough , espeacially noticable when looking at the osciloscope;

Modulate operator 1 by 2 set to a low freq ( 3 hz) ..set mod depth to max , and listen ..verry strange ;
Screenshot shows carrier and modulator bot set to sme ratio , mod mount to max .
This not how a phase modulated signal looks like ratio 1:1

Read sowehwere they used paraboles , but then again ...the outcome is really strange .
COuld one of the developers shed some light on this issue

I doubt the developers are gonna see your question in this general forum.

I'm glad Apple does not have a touch based Mac. I don't want all my application GUI's being optimized for touch cause that will make using the mouse slower. (touch is more click heavy) It will also waste space on the need for bigger buttons and especially on the laptop space is precious.
Totally agree with you. That's why I don't understand people complaing about GUIs not optimized for touch, and want the mobile apps GUIs ported to desktop and laptop computers. I always found those GUIs horrible, and a complete waste of space.
Agree as well. Pity Bitwig developers wasted precious time and resources on that support. Makes you wonder what their priority is - workflow or gimmicks. The modulation is cool but does that need to be such a huge focus? I want to make music efficiently, not tinker in a science lab for days. Some of their v1 features really caught my eye - layered editing, session view on the arrange page, etc, - their focus on workflow was great much like Presonus with Studio One, but in Bitwig v2 they seem to have lost their way (and yes I tried the demo).

Christ, now I gotta learn how to use the damn thing :bang:

Just bought Bitwig 2 with the -50 discount !
Thanks for the info :D

It's really nice to see several happy customers! I'm waiting for a couple features and if they add them I'll take another look.

And that's tough. I think there should be more "workflow" features. But so it's nice. I appreciate the fades. Now, if I could figure out why I can't get "bounced" clips to work post fx :x
