Other setup which I have been using and enjoying is the Boss GT-10 going straight into the Fender HotRod Deluxe III 1x12" combo's power amp using a few of the GT's pre-amps, That was a combination I would not of thought I'd like and only tried out of curious meddling but yeah it works rather well (To the point that I am going to hookup the GT-10 to my laptop so I can utilize the editing/storing patches...etc.)
Anyone else utilizing setups that perhaps you thought would not work that well but are getting some really surprisingly useful results?

John I reckon personally I'd have an ESP over a Suhr even though Suhr make the best of the best/as good as it gets, I personally prefer the ESP ultra thin u contour neck profile and also I have never tried to drop the tuning on any of the Suhr's I've tried in my local. However if it were the LTD one I'd take the Suhr instead, Then sell the Suhr and get two other guitars (hypothetically if for some reason someone randomly gave me the option of one or the other for free for whatever crazy reason that somebody might do that). Yeah I know that it just never ever going to happen

Speaking of Yamaha was it them who did that purple pedal called the 'Magic Stomp' or was that Korg? I remember those and they were pretty well built but for some reason unreliable for a reason I just can not recall, Losing my memory

). If it handles Drop G then I'll have one probably. The effects are decent really rather good quality sounding. Hope Yamaha go for expanding this range into combos or port the same technology into as Mike has mentioned a Cube style range except these would sound/feel so much better. I have a microcube and only thing I like it for is its Recto (modern channel emulation) gain flat out, tone set to taste where playing dyamics, subtle nuances and such are out the window anyway, It does that one thing well but other than that I would of gotten rid ages ago. The bigger 1x12" cube was not bad but overpriced and the bass model was useable but again abit pricey. Don't know if it makes any sense to anybody, Yourself included Mike but to me they feel/sound 'Plastic' and the feel or lack of 'artificial'. Like one could try playing with all the dyamics in the world, touch response and using the volume/tone controls on one's guitar and get nothing back. The more classic models all sound like someone farting and the breakup is just horrible (like having a torn speaker cone than a driven vox or fender...etc. etc.) Still for the one trick that my microcube does do it is worth hanging onto as it does it at any volume and no matter how hard or soft you play!

Its got a sort of cheap/poor mans SansAmp type of sound about it. Still I would want to try myself as W(hy)TF would one use one of these if one has Mk IV infront of them! Bloody
