+1 to PAK. Envelopes do matter and more developers should model analog synth envelopes properly

Sure. But, unfortunately, envelopes often seem like their poor forgotten brother..

I think D16 did a nice job on the filter. It's very easy to use the resonance to generate an airy-like quality in the higher frequencies and, though you can still run into "digital issues" (in relation to volume output Vs resonance settings) it's a plugin which makes it easy to avoid the harsh quality people often associate with resonance and digital filters.

Overall I quite liked Lush.. After being thrown off a bit by the presets (many of which are pretty good, but don't exactly serve to remind of the SH-101) it grew on me as I used it to make my own sounds.

Thank goodness for host saving btw (have they changed the 15 minute demo limit yet? Too low!

the LuSH 101 could / would be my only synth if they made the text/GUI bigger. If I could see what I was doing, this would be the only synth I could ever imagine needing. Love the sound and layout.

Lush envelope vs Sylenth1 envelope. Sylenth1 have a PROPER envelope with fast attack.
First is Lush and then is Sylenth in both clips. Sylenth's env's is much more snappy.

Blaming the envelopes for the lack of your beloved click shows how little you know about synth programming.

I could easily make LuSH click way more than what i heard in your Sylenth example.

I could even freely shape the click and make it transform into a pop or a bang using just few very basic features of the synth.

Unusable ?

Demoing LuSH-101 again. The new demo is much nicer to use than the old one!

Cathedral 1 & 2 are my favourite patches. There are lots of winners in the Keyboard section and also in the Pads. And hell yeah the Tempo Based patches are superb too.

Great synth but I still think I don't need it. The mixer window is horrible. Too much stuff in tiny space.

Though it can lead to even greater sounds sometimes, I used to be obsessed with recreating the same sounds with different synths to see how they would fair one against another

And you yourself, with which synth would you try to come close to that sylenth sound ?
Maybe you want a lush to be a sylenth

In Windows Vista 32 bit/ Ableton Live, the first demo was limitless with a workaround. After the demo version of Lush stopped working in Live, I deleted the Lush mixer channel and put it back with an undo. After that Lush was restored including all tweaks, pretty cool!

I have installed Windows 8 now, don't know if this still works with the new Lush demo.
