Maybe I missed a option to set the behavior of the envelopes?
You can draw pretty much arbitrary envelopes using one of the MSEGs. By changing the modulation rate up to audio-rate, you can have them react as fast and as precise as you wish.

The Filter and Amp envelope are fixed in shape, using exponential decay characteristics typical for pretty much any VA synth. Both envelopes can have an attack time of zero (ie instant attack). When choosing a zero attack time for the amp envelope, you can bypass the amp envelope that way and override it with a custom MSEG if you want.

Oooooh can we get the background image to see what color variations we can create ? Then you could add the ones you want to the .dll ? :)
Yeah, I think we'll just expose some or all bitmaps in one of the next releases.

You can get them already using Resource Hacker. Its a pain to use tho.

Image files are ok, but unless you get a cfg file, you cant change much.

Ohhh I'm going to have to give Dune 2 a spin, sounds pretty good!

My Virus TI has taken a restraining order out against Dune 2.

I don't know what I was doing wrong, but now I managed to do this with first try.

Cheers, thanks Krim :)

The previous verison of Dune (i have the CM one installed) has "soft spike" and "hard spike" opitons adding punch to the envelopes, however I failed to found them in Dune 2. Why they are removed from Dune 2? I understand that I can do the same thing with MSEGs by draving a short spike-shaped curve manually and assigning it to main volume, however having also premade spikes like in Dune 1.4 would more convenient.
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

the envs in D2 are quite diff to V1, setting to zero should give you a similar effect...tho it sounds shit to me, its just a horrible click, which is only any use for perc sounds

Ok, this means the attack time is only overwritten by the MSEG? If I will completely replace the amp envelope and use the MSEG instead, must the MSEQ attached to the amp level?

Post

Set amp level to zero and use MM to assign mseg > amp/volume

Post

You don't have to override regular ADSR with MSEG, they work in an additive manner. You may emphasis the attack by drawing short spike in MSEG and assiging it to volume. You can even modulate this effect by automating the mod matrix.

but if you want to make a custom shape envelope, you dont want the adsr working

Post

Yes, it's working in this direction.. It's not really a replacement is more additive.
To have it working as expected the release level must also be set to 100% so the MSEG can "overwrite" the release too.
