v3.1beta17 is available!

The way notes are rendered (note on/off messages produced) was redesigned which addresses stuck or non-sounding notes which should not happen in the future. If you edit a phrase during playback, notes will turn off. The changes during editing may cause notes appear or disappear, their lengths change, etc, which sometimes produced hanging notes. At the moment notes are turned off, but this will be improved in the future. Please report any issues.

Improvements:

• "Velocity For Filled Notes" added to Arpeggiator
• No more stuck notes if you change a phrase during playback (big rewrite under the hood)
• Fixed: a crashing bug when moving envelope points during playback

Hi Attila. I'm getting a lot of crashing with the new beta in Win7 x32 when using the arpeggiator gen. too many different circumstances to mention but mostly after editing or velocity note editing etc. sometime when closing the program.

I know I get the weird problems but can you look into this? It's happening every session with different attempts to start a composition with just one track (piano).

thanks, velocity for fill note slider is active and work in view. but the velocity in VST do not change so it sound always same loud. I get when press stop often hanging notes from sound that use chord generator. i use simple intervall 1/4

when i have disable play or record in selectet timeline option, is there a option available or possible that start when press play always on bar, and maybe stop not immidiate and only on bar ?. i normaly need not start play between bar

MIDI activity (as well done in NI MASCHINE)
This is especially needed in the MIDI input!

Hi nexussynth,

I tested Arpeggiator today but found no issues. If you could tell me exactly what you edit, or what your settings are that may help. Also is the track a MIDI track, or it uses the Piano soundfont? If you send me a simple composition file, that would be the best.

Yes, the melody generator had an internal change in beta15:

Improvement: the notes in the Melody Generator are converted to chord note+scale step to make it more usable under different chords (except when "Scale Notes Only" is chosen)

I did not expect that this had side effects. Please let me know in the next few days if this is a bad idea. I should have added a separate setting for this instead of changing the default behaviour.

v3.1b18 is available!

I had hoped this was the last beta version before releasing v3.1 next Monday. But who knows. Thanks for all the help and feedback!

3.1Beta18 changes:

• Midi Import improvements: Channel 10 Handling (original, split, or join)
• The 'History' section was rewritten under the Support tab
• 48 new interesting "5 in 16 pulses" clave patterns in the Rhythm browser
• Fixed a regression when some notes did not sound during MIDI-only playback

sorry i miss that and no i don't think its a bad idea,
but as you said
a separate setting for this instead of changing the default behavior indeed would be great.

tiny suggestion:
Regenerate All Selected Generators
would be useful if will add new creations as a new take instead of replacing the current

tiny report:
seems Lock To Scale has visual issue
most of the scale notes switches to red as out of scale


also extra settings of Lock The Scale is randomly disappear

Hello Attila!
I see the problem is that the program has a limit to decrease the vertical zoom .I work on a Mac in the display resolution 1280/800 and the lower part of the program is continued below the visible display level. But if I increase the screen resolution up to 1680/1050, all the same I can not do less than the vertical zoom!

thanks for your post. I restored the default behaviour, and added an option at the bottom of the 'Options' menu. I did not realize that this change is dangerous. Maybe not dangerous but annoying.

Yes, I also realized this! This annoys me because I was not able to fix it yet.
