Nice sounds vurt!
Probably go to bed early as it was a late one last night...but I will be going through the new Sinevibes fm synth I got last night to see if it is the last fm synth I'll ever have to buy. Honestly, I don't feel like I need a lot of FM since what I already have on the Prologue is enough to make the sweet/vintage sound we all remember. If I want knarly FM, I made some patches on the Pro3 that use an LFO to modulate the frequency of an OSC or two - a sound you can't ignore.

Currently trying to make ambient that DOES NOT sound like some other ambient, may have to create a new genre.

Got my used Seaboard + Lightpad Blocks going and played with them a bit. Realized that Aalto has an MPE option in the config that has to be enabled, which makes a huge difference. Have been patching dirt with Drezno, Interstellar Radio and high rate clocks from Synchrodyne.

the missus fell asleep about 2am.
so i decided this was a good time, to unpack and rack the new spectraphon, just for a quick test to make sure it worked...
then spent an hour, with one single pitch, while the b side fm modulated via tides.
:D

Bought a new (used) komputor off the ebays. The tedium of installation of bizzle.

Installed a new 4TB SSD on my music PC, stuck the 1TB drive it was replacing in an external USB case I got off Amazon for a tenner so I could copy all the data from that back on to the new drive then used the new now formatted 1TB drive as my system backup drive, replacing the mechanical drive I have been using. Backup is now about 6 to 8 times quicker and now it's taking less than an hour I may actually do it more than once in a blue moon :)

Upgraded my Korg Collection to latest version now the upgrade is only $49 and not $149 like it was on release. There is something amusing about playing a software MicroKorg via a 76 key Poly AT behemoth keyboards. Got to say it has some very nice sounds, not least the modulated basses. I have a patch with the same name, something like MG Bass 1, on my Minilogue XD, but the MicroKorg one sounds loads more interesting. Maybe MG is just the patch creator's initials and it's not supposed to be the same thing?

was the micro the same sound engine as the ms2000 or is it just the vocoder?

some nice stuff in the korg collection overall too 8)

Yeah think the MS2000 is the MicroKorg but with knobs on (literally)

Today I went back over a song I had finished because I decided overnight that I needed to improve it.
It took many hours over two days, but I took breaks by playing the Korg with the new effects. Glad I got 'Vibrant' as it is the style of phaser I like most. This morning I got an email from SOMA Labs announcing a tutorial video contest so I will have to find the time for that. Making videos is like work though.

I’m torn between getting Sinevibes effects for my Korgs or for my PC. I did get a few for the Minilogue XD a couple of years back but I wish their licences covered both. I think if they ever do another sale on their ‘everything’ effects bundle I’ll get it. From the new four effects Hollow and Luminance pique my interest most.

Reckon I've got everything sorted on the new satanic laptop (red keys, all very Slayer... :scared: ). Bound to be some plug-ins and shite I forgot, but can sort them as I go along. In the 'pro-audio' vernacular it's, 'fast as f**k', particularly compared to the old faithful, having jumped 9 iterations of i7. :hyper:

I may even deign to write a song or something.

Today I am replacing my old SSD with a new SSD. The old one is at least 7 years old....??could be 10 years old?
Anyway, it is the one I use to store all of my samples and mixdowns off the DAW.

Realized that, with a proper MPE controller, I can build MPE synths in VCV Rack. The included MIDI-CV module sucks for that (behaves weirdly with pressure),but there's a third-party one called MIDIpolyMPE that works great (even has a Roli profile built in).

interesting, will check that out. I don’t have a full MPE controller, but do have Poly AT.

Been in the studio every day despite the heat.
Living in a semi-tropical forest that is covered in emerald green and houses species of animals, insects and flora millions of years old, its hard not to tap in and be inspired.

Trying to learn to turn off the brain, news, and media and let the environment creep in, just enough to speak a word, then a note, then a song.
