I don't even include Diva with those other two. Legend and Monark are first and foremost 1:1 emulations of the Minimoog. Diva is a far more diverse synth and not intended to be a 1:1 emulation but rather capture the analog tone of a number of classic synth Oscs and Filters without being a 1:1 emulation of any of them.Firebird wrote:For me, its not a matter of which is best.Terrafractyl wrote:hmm really? Diva, Monark, the Legend... they are all very impressive. Also I will say that I havn't used this latest MiniMoog emulation at home, but I think we are getting close to the point where the differences between these emulations are almost as great as the difference between actual hardware MiniMoogs.pdxindy wrote:
I just listened to a number of audio demos on you tube... Legend is impressive. I certainly like it better than Monark. Legend is more musical but it also got some juice! I didn't hear a single sound among the many dozen I listened to that had something weak or suspect about it. Legend definitely sets the new standard for a MiniMoog emulation.
but IMO The difference between listening to to raw output/lossless recordings of any of these synths and listening to demos on you-tube is probably quite large!
Diva, Monark, and Legend all have something unique to offer sonically.
Each has something of value to bring to the table.
RePro-1 is the first u-he synth that is an actual full on emulation.
