No. Yes you can do that, but that is not what i am after. I have already multiple presets with all 8 layers occupied. The sends are working, sure, but you can't choose where these inserts are getting received (at which place in the next layer's fx position). A master fx chain is quite common in all-round synths.recursive one wrote:Any layer can be such a section, just make sends from the other layers to it at 100% and disable their individual routings to the master.exmatproton wrote:

Same with the global filter.

thats why such a big factory library should be optional but not so small like rapid's default... either u buy it or not. it's no gaming demo where it makes sense to play 2 levels.recursive one wrote:After having spent two days trying to download the Avenger 4.5 gb content merely to run the demo I started to appreciate the Parawave's decision to prepare a smaller demo installer even more

You can place "send" at any position in fx chain of any given layer and the input from this send into the target layer will be before the filter. Thus it will be followed by the inserts and the effects, so you will be able to use this target layer exactly as the master filter and FX section, and you will even be able to send the signal from it to further layers as the aux busses, e.g. if you want to have a delay or reverb as the send effects. Yes, you will be wasting one of 8 layers for this, but I'm not sure if anyone will ever need all 8 of them for a patch used in an actual mix (not "one note makes a song" kind of patch).exmatproton wrote:No. Yes you can do that, but that is not what i am after. I am not talking about the send, but about the receive. If i could use a "receive from layer 'n'", part of the problem i am facing would be solved. Or just build a master section. Most other synths have a master section.recursive one wrote:You can place "send" at any position in fx chain of any given layer and the input from this send into the target layer will be before the filter. About using up all 8 layers; it is what the synth is made for. So i really don't get your point. Consider a patch with multiple different envelopes and LFO's for nice atmospheric textures. Or some polyrythmic arp over 8 layers. Or.....i could go on. It is not about "one note makes a song" at all. It is about creating diverse, deep, evolving and moving patches. And with this in mind, i ran upon this "minor issue".

It would be nice to just have different colors to swap out. A darker scheme would be cool!exmatproton wrote: 3) I would like to see multiple color schemes. During the day, the bright UI with orange is fine, but in the evening i'd rather switch to a dark (FF151515) scheme with blue highlights (for instance)

@ exmatproton
So how you want it to be adressed? A dedicated mater section (essentially a restricted 9th layer without oscillators)? Or the ability for any layer to receive the sends at an arbitrary point in the signal chain (like bewteen the filter and the insert, or into the arbitrary slot in the FX chain)?

Both would be awesome. 100% flexibilty. But as a "quick fix" a 9th fx-dedicated layer (not as a send-receive, but where the signal always is going thru) would be great.recursive one wrote:@ exmatproton

So are you all having fun with Rapid? If you want to show stuff go on. I'm always interested in what people create with our synth.

the demo is very limited and keeps me away from buying. How are the other 600 presets compared to the small amount of presets in the demo. Are all the other presets comparable, or gets someone the impression, that these less presets are like a best of and the most presets of the full version sounds more normal / standard sound.

Sorry, can't answer this. I hardly touched any preset. Playing with the synth itself was enough for me to buy itsacer wrote:the demo is very limited and keeps me away from buying. Presets are great. Synth is great. My problem, as I said from the beginning, was the price. If you can get it at this really great sale price, get it. At that price, it's more than worth it.sacer wrote:the demo is very limited and keeps me away from buying. How are the other 600 presets compared to the small amount of presets in the demo.
