I use 3, 5 & 6 betas if I recall correctly. I know you didn't ask me, but I love them so much. Almost as much as Sax-O-Phunk!ZioKiller wrote:Tony, are you really using live the old beta of Miles'tone??![]()
No way! Let the rejoicing begin!ZioKiller wrote:News: finally I figured out how to make the Harmon mute sound

hmm - I shall have to decide whether the name is infringing on the title of one of my EVE presets banks of the same name (almost)
Anyway, I have the ideal name for a jazz instrument plugin - Thrusk

its also a song , its in the real book. its a restaurant and a bar and a bookstore too.
in any case a kickass plugin by any other name is still a kickass plugin - i wrote that.
yah i use it on my laptop on the gig as a solo trumpet on some things and as lead trumpet over a sampled bank for sections and as a boundless scream trumpet.
i bring the real trumpet too and do a few solos on that as well, and sax too.
theres a trumpeter in the section as well and sometimes ill be asked to cover the high stuff at the end of the night when everyones chops are shot.

Can't wait to hear the harmon mute sound.
If you've got a mute then you've got to call it MilesTone.
I still use beta 4 and I think I've got the original Mr Davis somewhere.
Enjoyed the demo. BTW, if you want to get that authentic Jimmy Smith sound on VB3 then you need to add some samples of grunting and mumbling.

Hello Ziokiller
I remember the first audio demo of Sax-o-phunk which blew everyone away. Is there any way you could release that beta version? I have the two betas you released, but was never able to reach the quality of that first audio demo. Thanks...

Here are some short demonstrations of the articulations it can produce by simply using pitch bender and the correct overlapping of notes on the keyboard.
Articulation n.1
Articulation n.2
Articulation n.3
Articulation n.4
Articulation n.5
No. 5 uses the Harmon mute.
All played with the BC-3 for expression.
And this is a shot of the current GUI:

I'm seriously thinking of putting an option to make it sound like a trombone... (just a few things change...)
What could be a fair price for it?

Considering Arturia Brass is 349.00 $... Charging this beauty something like 60 $ for it would put Brass to shame

Except maybe the muted version in its actual state, i assume, all these demos sounds fantastic !!ZioKiller wrote:Here are some short demonstrations of the articulations it can produce by simply using pitch bender and the correct overlapping of notes on the keyboard.

The Arturial Brass trumpet is actually pretty good, but Miles'tone is more expressive. And Guido's Sax'o'phunk, even in its crudest betas, puts Arturia Brass' so-called sax to shame.

don't know what a fair price would be, but at $60 i'd seriously consider buying it, too. more than that and i'd have to think about it, hope for a group buy or wait to get it used in the market place. less than that and i think i'll definitely be on board.Boulotaur2024 wrote:Considering Arturia Brass is 349.00 $... but others may differ.
