It is now in my possession:FranklyFlawless wrote: Tue Jul 22, 2025 2:28 am After some deliberation, I have decided to shift priorities around to acquire the Desiderata Systems Seven Limit Mosaichord by the end of next month instead.
Preliminary notes:
- It is intuitive to play while also being forgiving.
- The blue, green, yellow, and purple notes are each individual pentatonic scales, just in different positions.
- The spacing is more compressed than the piano, and is more closer to the density of mini-keyboards.
- It is easy to get your fingernails caught in the crevices, so clip your nails before performing.

Unexpected purchase, but this was in basically new condition for well under half the price of a new one, so I snagged it! I really wanted to love the TR-8S when I owned one, but it just didn’t work for my needs, but I think the MC-707 will. We ‘ll see…

Among a few new modules in the rack, god they are like crack, no? The Deopfer Trapezoid VCO. I have been wantinng to do some through zero experiments in the analog domain, and this ticks a lot of boxes. TZFM using an interesting and reliable technology, the trapezoid wave shape, and quadrature, especially as an LFO. It starts as a companion to my 258t and my Maleko Anti-Oscillator.

Probably my least favorite purchase of the year. I have too many issues with the 3rd gen that I’m pretty much relying on the SP8, and since the screen failed once on the SP8, I keep thinking I’m in risky territory should that fail too.
I got 5 years out of the gen 3, and honestly think it should have lasted longer, which is why I’m not excited.
I could have gone with a different brand too, but I’m used to this one. so off we go for another 5 (I hope).

Picked up a used Roland S-1 and it’s pretty cute but powerful, has a load of MIDI cc parameters.
Didn’t realise quite how small it was until I went to pick the parcel up, initially thought they’d sent me the wrong thing.
