Maybe you could open the manual-wiki up to contributions by registered customers?

I am working on the wiki, which will be converted to pdf in the end.
It goes slower than expected due to other tasks but I will do by best to finish it in the next 2 weeks.
The chapter about the new idea tool is almost finished:

If you think you have some time to edit the wiki, please send me e-mail or PM to get write access. Thank you in advance!
Thanks for your patience.

Yes, I would happily accept contributions to the wiki, even if that is a small paragraph, or correcting grammar mistakesMaybe you could open the manual-wiki up to contributions by registered customers?

This feature was implemented today and is available in the latest v3.1 beta version (see beta topic for details).
Sorry that it took so long, I had to finish testing WASAPI first
You will find it in the 'chord magnet' menu. Since it already affects chord transposition I found it reasonable to put there:

Thanks!

Oh, I see.just in case i thought it was transpose by semitones instead octaves.
Do you want it to be destructive or temporary? I am asking because it is easy to do that when someone is using roman numerals, just the scale base note need to be transposed. When not using roman numerals for chords, a destructive option would be easy to add in the master track inspector.
I think this menu is not useful at all, so it will go away unless there are objections.

ok
seems i miss the "Harmonize Chords to Match Scale" option in the Master Track inspector
while changing/transposing the scale root.
only differences it doesn't work if you have out of scale chords in time line

Hi Attila,
i guess now i understand,
as in your example, if i use scale degree chords from library for example Major Scale Formulas just changing scale root does the job...
in my case seems problem was using absolute chords.
i was expecting a result as in the picture above transpose A minor +5 semitones to D minor
all chord transposing was ok except last chord which is need to change to A major manually.
i am not sure did i understand "destructive or temporary" part,
but i should say
no matter how many times i transposed
i would love to have ability to get all exact/original chords,
when i want to go back to my original root again...

Yes semitone transpose, you can have a box to enter semitone amount to transpose eg: +3
or set the Key it's in then transpose from that ?

Yes, it works by converting all chords to roman numeral representation first, then finding which chord belongs to that scale degree in the new scale. It may happen for example that the source scale has IIIm and the target scale has IIIdim, then the chord becomes diminished instead of minor.yellukhan wrote:ok

I am working on adding a simple chord transpose menu in the master track inspector.
Thank you for the clarification! To be honest I was not sure if the octave transposition made sense...
Thanks!
Attila
