Hi...

I am sorry to say this but - right now - Reaktor 5 is a bit too expensive for my wallet so I have to go with a couple of stand-alone effect plugins in the studio - until I can afford NI´s monster.

I am looking for some crazy plugins. Filter, phasers, reverb, anything as long as it sounds cool and warm. Think the latest german minimal tracks - the effects need to sound stylish and lush. [/b]

Listen/try 'em all (there are plenty here), use the ones you like :)

ps. Maybe it's time for KVR to have a search by keywords "cool, warm" order by "rating" :)

Check out Camelspace. I have been demoing it for a few days and even for a guitarist it is tempting.

Camelspace, is it versatile? Looks very trancy :(

Well I don't really know much about different genres of music. All I know is when I play guitar through it some cool things happen. For someone like me that is primarily doing guitar based music it does some amazing things but most likely wouldn't fit into my songs that often. If I was doing synth based music then I can see I would use it a lot more. Check it out. It has multiple effects and I think almost anyone could find a use for it somewhere.

Well, they just lowered the price of Reaktor 5 by like 20%...

Instead of buying 3 or 4 specialized vsti's, you'd just buy Reaktor to do the job of them all.

there are cheaper alternatives to reaktor, there not as good but pretty good: bidule is cheaper, synthedit for sure. theres also max msp.

The audio demos from campelspace sounds compelling! I really like what it can do to pads and chords. The filter combined with the reverb sounds great together. Thanks for the tip, I will look into this one, for sure.

Is the Max Msp similar to the pluggo pack?

ohh, man... I misspelled Crazy in the topic. :bang:

The gate certainly tends to be "trancey" but it can do a lot more than that. Try the demo.

There's always Quantum-FX. 215 EUR until 14th November.

215 euro, quite expensive... Logic says it gotta be good :hihi: .

Its still cheaper than Reaktor, though. And yes, it is good; very good. The included effects are probably less experimental than Reaktor's overall, but the fun is in building the more radical stuff yourself, isnt it ;)

Anyways, the medium-level building blocks supplied are pretty comprehenseive, so making your own stuff is fairly easy. There's a demo version, give it a whirl...
