I tried to search the forums, but did'nt find my answer...
What I need is to find an easy-to-use sequecer to host my vsti's.
I would like tha ability to load a vsti, program the sequencer, export the audio file and import it into Adobe Audition.
It's important that it is easy to use, and a low price would also be great.

MiniHost doesn't have a sequencer afaik.
Check out:
EnergyXT
Podium
Tracktion
Magix Music Maker
Tunafish
Muton
All fairly cheap and simple to use, though, simplicity is a very personal thing. What I might find utter simple and logic you might find hard to grasp, and vice versa.

Can you program the sequencer in Minihost though?? I was sure it was just a preset?
eXT is pretty good, but a steepish learning curve for some.
Tunafish is worth checking out though.

The thing is, my father (at 63) is these days using Adobe Audition and Reason. I bought The Grand some time ago, and he was impressed. Now I was thinking of giving it to him as a birthday present, but then he would need a host for it so that he can import it into Adobe Audition.
I dont want it to contain so much more than just the ability to program/record a vsti and export it to a wav.
Anything like Reason would be great (it took me a year to teach him how to use reason).

a piano refill for reason would be better ... if hes already used to reason and it took you a year to teach him
and really, Reason already comes with a kickass piano preset for the NN-XT using samples. But, theres always http://www.sonicreality.com/viewDetails ... ductID=177

you could use a virtual midi cable from reason to minihost and then record your vst through voxengo recorder in the minihost(i think you can chain FX?)

After reading this thread, and the requests that were made, I truly believe that VSTseq, which is free, will fit the bill perfectly.
