NOVUZEIT presents Voxelay.

What is it?

A super duper multi-layered multi-function delay unit primarily designed to do fun and useful things with your vocals. (Yet, to be honest, I've had a lot of fun running drumloops through it too.)

Voxelay consists of five independent delay layers which can be turned on and off individually. Each layer has the following self inclusive components: Pitchshift with audio-buffer setting (plus LFO), Vowel Filter for harmonic overtones, Delay unit with timing-buffer offset, modulation, and feedback setting, Stereo Pan (plus LFO for Auto-Pan), Stereo Width Offset, Analog Filter with Cut-Off and Resonance controls, Volume, and Wet/Dry setting. Voxely also has global volume and wet/dry settings, plus global clipping control, and a fully stereo global reverb to futher enhance its delay layers.

If the screenshot / description looks interesting, or the concept intriguing, have a clicky click right here to read more and try the actual VST and its presets out. User manual included too.

Thanks for reading. :D

PS "Vox" + "Delay" = Voxelay

hmmm i remember once reading(im sure it was you) "i make plugs i use myself for my own music..."

does this mean we can expect some new material from yourself?

looks great btw, cant wait to get me teeth into it :D

Yes sir Vurt... 5 more NOVUZEIT VST and then I'm done with VST and focusing entirely on music only. Next official LP will be Darkness Catharsis in '07. But I'm sure there will be the abstract silly EP here and there before then. :p

Tried the demo.

It uses lots of CPU on my 3.0ghz (around 70%)

I'm pretty sure you should check for denormal problems, place "Denormal Clean" modules just after the filter outputs.

That, or optimize the project tying to use less modules.

Use linear knobs, rotary really sux man.

The sliders looks SEXY

I love the idea, a delay with vowel filters, nice!

Post

Voxelay uses between 15-30% CPU on my P4 with everything "on". I always use denormal filtering.

The "project" is as optimized as it'll ever be.

I -like- rotary knobs.

Vera Kinter did the sliders, she's a Queen.

Thanks for trying it out, and I'm glad you dig the concept at least.

Just had a quick go at the demo... testing the limits of SE as usual
Another worthy addition to the novuzeit catalog, great job Jack! :tu:
The mind boggles.

This looks very nice, the monochrome gui seems very appropriate. Everything looks to be more clearly labeled than past efforts too When I have an actual go with the plug I'll comment on the sound. It's cool you had vox in mind for this plug as there's really not too many around...

ps Axelay? :D
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GUI looks like the graphics on my Amstrad CPC.
I LOVE that!

Thats all.

cool idea.

'Hope the sound is not as aliased as the logo :D

Quick question before I give it a try: is it stereo?

I have a stereo vocal group track that I'm working on that could really benefit from something like this.

Post

Juanjo - Thank you for the enthusiasm, most appreciated.

LiquidClear - I worried the GUI was a bit too, utilitarian, but it looks like the gist worked afterall. :) Axelay had sexy graphics, but it was WAYYYY too hard man... what the fug was Konami smoking?!

musicL - Thanks for the pixel appreciation. I was always more into Amiga GUIs myself, well, think Pysgnosis' stuff.

cptgone - Cool face.

Boulotaur2024 - Noooo can't say it is. I like rough gradient fills in GUIs, that's all.

Wilsontherocke - No, Voxelay is made to take mono signals and make them stereo out. You might like OctoEcho, though.

I was in an earporn once.

I don't like to talk about it. :?
