Here we go, my Christmas fund just went bye bye. Shit.

Post

I think it's only available in the U.S at the moment ...

Post

Anybody tried one of these out yet?
... i still can't get my hands on one in the UK

Post

I've just ordered one ... should have it by Tuesday :hyper:

Post

My KB37 finally arrived today, after UPS failed to live up to their 24 hour delivery promise. Their excuse was they couldn't find my house

Anyway ... I installed the Gearbox software, and did all the firmware updates (i was surprised there were any at this early stage). Sound quality is good, and the latency too, but one of the VU meters doesn't work, and the stop button is a bit sticky :tantrum:

This doesn't stop me being able to make music, but it's very dissapointing, so i'm going to have to see about getting the unit replaced. I hope Sound Control will agree to send me a replacement, and pick up this faulty one at the same time, so I'm not without audio for another week. ho hum ...

Post

Bummer. I have to wait until "late December" to get one here.

It took me a week of phoning around to get one over here. Line6 seem to be rationing them. I've been promised a replacement sometime tomorrow, so i'm happy enough.

You also get a free copy of Live5 Lite with the KB37. I checked the upgrade price to Live6, and they give you a 200 euro discount. Nice deal if you are thinking about buying Live6.

The local distributor told me it will come with Live Lite 6. Maybe I can sell it to defray costs?

I'd be willing to wager that it will be tied to the hardware. I had the same problem when I bought my Firewire 410.

Post

The important thing to glean from my post is that I have no intention whatsoever of using whichever version of Live comes with it.

The KB37 ships with Live5 Lite, not Live4 Lite as stated on the Line6 website, and it's not tied to the hardware. I intend to sell my copy, as I already own Live6.
I got my replacement keyboard today ... this one works fine, and i just love those VU meters :D

Yeash, they do rock. have you noticed that you can assign them in GearBox? Makes 'em even more useful.

One thing i don't like ... there's a stereo input called "monitor in", and you can use it to monitor a stereo input, but you can't record that input. You can only record either the line, mic or guitar inputs(and no more than 2 ins at a time). It's not a huge problem, but an extra stereo input for recording would be useful at times. Would save having to repatch inputs.

Post

thecontrolcentre, what do you mean by "no more than 2 ins"? Is that 2 mono in at a time, or 2 stereo that can be split for a total of 4 mono input at the same time?
No, that wasn't me.
