i'm looking for a little usb powered controller for winxp vst development. prefer no drivers or solid, innocuous drivers and decent build.. silent keys a plus.

i wouldn't have posted but i'm wondering.. does anyone make a decent pitch wheel nowadays? i'm used to clavia so the 'dead spot' in the center of most pitch bends is overt to me.

atm deciding between edirol pcr-m1, alesis photon m25, m-audio axiom 25 and e-mu xboard 25.

anyone tried to remove the detents from the axiom?
