I've been trying out your software for couple of weeks now. I'm very impressed overall with how it functions. Yesterday, however, I went to load a waves plug-in bundle. I noticed that waves uses something called the waveshell DLL to access the other DLLs in the package. This all seems fine even though the selection of a specific package was a little funky. I noticed that once selected the name of the plug-in itself was not shown in the rack but rather the "waveshell" which makes things confusing if you have more than one plug-in from the package loaded.
All of this I can live with, however, I noticed that whenever I closed and reopened a session containing a waves bundled plug-in the settings were not retained and instead I receive an error that says the DLL cannot be recognized and I must load the plug-in from scratch again.
To be fair waves plug-ins are funky in several hosts that I have tried including Cubase. It's a shame really because the plug-ins themselves are above average. Is there any workaround for this that you know of?
using Cantable with waves plugins

After doing some further research I've decided that use of waves plug-ins in a VST environment is not an absolute necessity. The idea of needing a shell program in order to use them seems redundant to me. Although the plug-ins are of above-average quality I still have plenty more so no worries there!
No need to worry about this one on my behalf.

Yep, VST shell plugins are not supported by Cantabile and this is actually the first instance of I've heard of an actual shell plugin.
In my mind, these shell plugins are actually a myth - I must check out this "waves" of which you speak
. Can you suggest a specific one that I should look at?

I installed their Platinum Bundle. All of them require the shell apparently. I could load them but none of them would save on exit. Next reload of cantable prompts error msg.bradr wrote:In my mind, these shell plugins are actually a myth - I must check out this "waves" of which you speak.
