Kenton Pro-2000 Mk2 Front Panel Access. Necessary?

I'm about to buy one of these so I can finally use my analog synths the way they were (un)intended.
My concern is that I have one rack space left and this is down behind my mixing desk, so front panel access is nigh on impossible.
The question is, once the Pro-2000 has been initially set-up will I need to access the front panel regularly? I've read through the manual and it looks like I should ok...

First hand advice would be most welcome though

I just leave mine on one specific preset, and have it turned around for access to the patch points. One thing to keep in mind is that the power switch is on the front, so you might need to put it on a power strip or something.

All the equipment in this rack is on the same distribution block so no issues here either.

Must admit, I don't use the 2000 - mine is a Pro V (at least I think that's what it's called - not in the studio at present)[EDIT: apparently it's a Pro4] so my comments may not be as relevant. Depends how many parameters and programmes you've got in the 2000 - mine is 8 channel with a shitload of aux outs. Although you can happily get by without front panel access once you've set those things up for each set of outputs, sometimes it is really handy to access the parameters. For example I quite often change the setup of the portamento (both the mode and the time). And although not all the time, I do change other midi automation parameters - things like different filters set to different midiCC numbers, and occasionally I'll want to change which h/w keyboard controls the analogues (so I change things like wheels etc to joysticks on say the Wavestation.)

And with some of those Kenton units, you can edit the midi parameters themselves via midi also, so technically you don't need to use the control panel at all (but that can get really fiddly - TBH it's easier setting up different programmes and flick between them).
So yeah, you can certainly set it up and not have to fiddle with it, if you are organised with how you use your analogues and which things control them. or if you set up some good kind of midi editing via your DAW so that you basically midi programme change your Kenton via midi. And it makes it easier if you just have one single h/w controller. I find that some things, such as my MC202, I nver change programmes with at all - all you ever want is straight CV note control, or start/stop sequence. Depends how complicated and control freak you want to get. For straight forward stuff, no problem for it to be stuffed away somewhere. But once you get into the deeper control stuff, it's hard to come back from it, and you need the front panel for that...

Installed mine last night, and it worked straight out of the box.
I absolutely love it. Definitely up there in my best 3 studio purchases ever.
