Hi,

Here's BETA19!

Image

A lot of new features this time so please let me know how things work for you!
There's so much changed this time so let me know!

SONGS CREATED WITH OLDER BETA'S ARE NO LONGER COMPATIBLE!

Sounds saved as *.d4s still work, so you might want to export your sounds first.

What's new?

- Complete new GUI!
- 10 Sounds in stead of 6
- Rename sounds
- Mute sound parts (osc, noise1, noise2)
- Choke option
- Right Click envelopes to change shapes
- Copy & Paste sounds (right click on sound name)
- Randomize sound (2 modes!)
- New pitched noise oscillator
- GM Drum map setup as default
- Option to set keyboard to GM Drum map
- Option to set keyboard to 6 note split setup
- Parameter readout, (still some work to be done here)

What needs to be done?
- Create full 10 sound default presets
- Manual
- Test and debug!

Please let me know how this version works for you!

Nice, but where is this gorgeous black GUI I've seen more recently?

Still does not validate in MuLab 5 VST Manager scan, so I'm unable to even load it :(

I've not tested it in MuLab for now, however, some people here are using it in MuLab. Do you have 32/64 bit? And what version of Windows? It is tested to work in Cubase, Reaper, FL Studio, Studio One, Sonar X2, SE, Energy XT and SaviHost at the moment.

I've put MuLab on my to do list.

What a piece of work is this software.

;-)

Just beautiful, simply beautiful in its design and execution.

Bit miffed at the beta incompatibilities, but then again it is beta.

So no one can say they weren't warned.

The sound is simply stunning. It has everything and more that made Drumatic 3 great. I love the way you have spread the different notes over an octave each and given them all their own space. Er, maybe you did that before and I just wasn't paying attention.

I don't know what more to say, except I'll be buying it in a couple of days time.

Watch this one go through the roof, and a Drumatic 5 quickly following, for which you will probably be asked to pay the princely sum of 50 quid/dollars/euros (who's counting). And it'll still be amazingly priced. Obviously this is inane speculation on my part and it is Sunday evening when fellows get back from the pub after having a skinfull. Of course I would never do anything like that, and being a poor chap I drank mineral water all night, just to be sure, to be sure, that I could afford this on Tuesday.

The days are marked on my calendar. The pounds are piling up in my piggy bank. The Pigs are at the trough. But we aren't allowed to talk about politics on KVR. Jolly good job too I should say.

This software is knockout.

Anyone that ever used Drumatic 3 will see it as a logical extension in the design of the interface. A LOT of thought has gone into this.

Then again you just went and changed it again, so who knows what it's going to end up like. I don't care, just make the different versions available and the different colour schemes too. Make it skinnable or colourable please.

And eh, what ever you do don't get too carried away, you are close to perfection.

Then again, I am interested to see where you could take it. The making of a masterpiece unfolds.

Just a quick heads up.

In energyXT2 I can see both versions, loading beautifully.

In FLStudio 11 the latest 'beta 19' loads no problem. So does the slightly older version 'beta 15'.

In Reaper, it only sees the new version, but I probably need to rescan my plugins - no big deal.

In Studio One 2 it only sees the old version.

That's just what happens when you have both versions installed into a folder called VST>Drums>Drumatic> etc...

Also I see you have made the new Gui somewhat smaller. The other size was ok. Big is good. But whatever you feel comfortable with..

It's probably beyond your design scope, but if you can't make a re-sizable Gui, at least give an option of big/small. There is such a plethora of screen sizes and resolutions out there at the moment.

Confirmed in MuLab 64.
It is in the database but it doesn't appear in the VST list for loading.
In MuLab 32 Drumatic is fine.

I'll try to take this for a quick spin tomorrow.

That's because you can only have 1 VST with the same ID. It will probably just display the first it finds.

I'm using it in MuLab 5 64-bit on Windows 8 64-bit.

I've updated some presets, most empty crash and ride pads do now have sounds.

@Nielzie ok, thanks.

Just had a quick go with the newest version and I don't think I could be any happier with how this came out. Excellent work!

Hello,
Would it be possible to have a visual indication of the active midi note on the virtual keyboard(when you strike a drum pad the key lights up)? It would make assigning the pads of a midi drum controller to the different sounds so much faster.

I absolutely love the sound and simplicity of this instrument

Thanks
Andy
