ANA - keep or sell?

This is the first time I'm thinking about selling one of my synths. ANA was one of the first synths I've bought, but now it is just sitting in my plugin folder almost never used. Not that I find it that bad, but I feel the CPU usage/sound quality ratio is worse compared to the other synths I have. I actually bought it because I liked the wobble/electro bass presets, but now I have Massive to cover this area. Overall, I think that Sylenth/Massive/Spire combo completely eliminates any need for ANA in my rig (and I also have Synthmaster and Z3ta, yes, I'm sucker for tarnse synths). Am I missing something great ANA is capable of?
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

keep ;)

would be weird if you answered otherwise ;-)

Is there any further development planned? CPU or (and) sound quality improvements?

Hmm... I'm a bit in the same boat ;) I don't use Ana at this time for my productions but Spire.
But selling such synth is always bad because you never get the money back you've paid. So I rarely (in fact I never) sold a plug-in synth.
I'm not sure about the actual price tag, I think Ana is about 60€? So you can ask for 30 or 40€ if you find a buyer... Let's assume there are some improvements and stuff in the next year, there is a chance you have a increased interest again...
So I would keep Ana.

Keep it :)
It's a cool synth, and they are hopefully going to update it soon.

ANA is a great and capable synth...but stay away from playing higher notes, otherwise you'll get eaten by the enormous amounts of aliasing. Why is that? Badly programmed filters, osc's...or...? Too bad...could be no.1 synth if they address this issue.

Post

I also feel that ANA is prone to unpleasant digital artefacts, which spoil the otherwise lovely tone of this synth. I cannot say whether it is aliasing or something else.

I remember, Phil once said that they have a beta version with improved aliasing, but this was a wile ago and this beta was not publicly released (or am I missing something?).

Keep. One thing about ANA is that the presets are great, and I learned that if EQ'd properly ANA sounds completely awesome. The guys at Sonic Academy made a winner.

Wouldn't know. I guess I downloaded the demo at some point and forgot to try it. And since it's a short time limited demo, I now can't ever try it because I wasn't able to in the time frame permitted. FYI for devs - time limited demo is the worst way to get a sale. Why would you ever do it. I even emailed Sonic Academy to try to renew the demo and never heard back. Lost interest.

If you do sell it, let me know, I'll gladly buy it from you. :)

exactly the same here.
The first demo didnt even work on FLStudio without crashing. by the time the next fixed demo came out i couldnt run it as time had ran out, no way to reset.
really, really stupid limitation.

I would keep it. I think ANA is really great for EDM, but it may not be as useful for other kinds of music.

I like the demo for Curve2 as it is fully functional and has no time limit, but you can only use one instance in a each song, and you can't save presets.

Might be worth hanging on to it for the update (if it's soon). But if you feel that you'll never use it, then your better off selling it.

I don't really like selling synths either. I sold Lush recently, only to buy it again, after they fixed the interface size. :)
I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.
