I see, thanks for the quote.
Here it was meant that the version history - when using the version tree (like in v2.X) - contains all your previous compositions, and you can go back in time, either by Undo-ing or Jumping back to an earlier state, and continue with modifications. Both compositions remain in the version tree and are available later.
It is a bit hard to explain.

1. you set up a composition

Code: Select all

...[edit] [add track] [add phrases] [edit] [edit] : Composition1
2. You go back to the asterisk(*), because you don't like something

Code: Select all

...[edit] [add track] * [add phrases] [edit] [edit] : Composition1
3. You continue working on it:

Code: Select all

...[edit] [add track] * [fill with phrases] [edit] [add track] [edit] : Composition2
In the version tree both compositions are there.

Code: Select all

...[edit] [add track] - [add phrases] [edit] [edit] : Composition1
\ [fill with phrases] [edit] [add track] [edit] : Composition2
I know it should be better visualized in RC, but I think almost no-one is using the version tree, because it is complicated. Therefore in v3 'simple list' is the default for the version history.

Thanks,
Attila

Hello Attila

thanks, now i understand i thought it is possible to create a snapshots and it is possible to choose between diffrent play versions in the structure inspector. In cubase arranger track settings there can create diffrent play orders and choose later a play order

I also do not understand how i can do a composition and say play line 1 2 times, line 2 1 time or more. Is this possible ?
