It’s on sale now. It’s tempting but the fact it’s not been updated in two years puts me off.

I think it's not abandoned but more like hibernating.. Very good synth that didn't get the attention it would've deserved.

And if I'm right, Wiggle was their first vst. They've been busy after that, building rest of their catalog.
But when it comes to wiggle, if you're ready to pay that 50€ of the synth "as is", it'll bring you a lot for that 50€ even if it wasn't updated anymore.

Think to be honest, you'd be better saving your money and putting it towards something like Rapid or Phase Plant as these both cover what wiggle does and more with better filters, sound quality, modulation, sequencers, etc. And they're both still in active development and way less buggy than Wiggle.

I wouldn't even say it's a good FM synth tbh. Try the demo, you may find otherwise but having bought it a while ago, I've found much better tools since. For all the "appealing features" the implementation of the basics is more appalling (e.g. no key follow on filter, no glide on modulation sequencers so only does "steppy", higher cpu on note off than note on, etc), poor quality filters and fx, and found it quite frustrating as I found more standard features missing.
Seriously, try the demo, it promised a lot more than it is capable of delivering, and with no development, probably won't deliver in the future.

I recently picked it up and I'm impressed. I'm surprised on the lack of love for it here. I will say that I tried to contact them to create an account, but they never replied.
I can't think of any synth that can do that amount of wave shaping as Wiggle, such as taking multiple points in a waveform and having them oscillate at different speeds... can you think of a synth with similar phase distortion and wave shaping abilities? Post here and I will check them out. The closest synth I have to this would be phase 4...

More like the Hindenburg than hibernating in that very special regard.

Just fyi for anyone thinking about getting wiggle
I bought it on sale a while ago. Its capable in its own way. However, since a certain version of ableton live (can't remember which anymore) you cant use its built in distortion unit unless you open wiggle in a vst host/wrapper. Bizarrely, its when the synth is idling but the distortion is turned on it shoots up to 50%+ cpu on my i7 6700k.
Nanohost ought to work though. Or IL minihost, or blue cats patchwork if you have it
