I'll be getting for sure:
- PolyStep: https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack ... sequencer/
- BeatChop: https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack ... me-slicer/
We'll see what else catches my eye
Well, I've been in an unenviable position that when 11 dropped I already had 75% of REs included in Suite and I only really wanted PolyStep (and potentially Scenic, which since then proven to not be as great for my needs)WasteLand wrote: Mon May 18, 2020 8:13 ami only bought the upgrade from reason 10 to reason 11 suite...
must have is a big word, but these kind of sequencers are nice, if like to work with them.koalaboy wrote: Mon May 18, 2020 8:26 am For someone with suite, and many other VSTs/DAWs, are there any 'must-have' rack extensions worth looking at in the sale ?
That's way to little info to provide advicekoalaboy wrote: Mon May 18, 2020 8:26 amFor someone with suite, and many other VSTs/DAWs, are there any 'must-have' rack extensions worth looking at in the sale ?

yes, i have read that somewhere. i follow a lot on KVR... but for me suite was enough extra, for the price, even if you consider if there will be a upgrade sale for reason 11 (standard..).antic604 wrote: Mon May 18, 2020 8:34 amWell, I've been in an unenviable position that when 11 dropped I already had 75% of REs included in Suite and I only really wanted PolyStep (and potentially Scenic, which since then proven to not be as great for my needs)WasteLand wrote: Mon May 18, 2020 8:13 ami only bought the upgrade from reason 10 to reason 11 suite...![]()
Well, then anything from Blamsoft, Synapse Audio, Lectric Panda, Selig, Robotic Bean, Jiggery Pokery, Noise Engineering (for Eurorack modular stuff) should fit the bill - they all do high quality, creative and often unique REskoalaboy wrote: Mon May 18, 2020 8:39 amBut anything really. Music ideas cover orchestral->film->pop->EDM and Sound Design.
For your own sake don't try Bitwig, if you enjoy Ableton. Not that Bitwig is bad - quite the contrary! - but you will have hard time deciding between the two, assuming you want to focusWasteLand wrote: Mon May 18, 2020 8:43 amno bitwig... haha...
(bitwig looks like like a hand tailored suit for me, on paper, never tried it, how i work now i don't feel limited, on the contrary, but perhaps in the future. i bought ableton, never thought i would do it, including the push 2. and i like it...).
i already have ableton (suite), cubase pro 10.5, reason 11 suite, maschine (is it a daw, but i make complete arragments with it, most of the times), reaper, harrisson mixbus.antic604 wrote: Mon May 18, 2020 8:52 amFor your own sake don't try Bitwig, if you enjoy Ableton. And it's very true that Reason Rack VST enhances ANY other DAW it's put into!![]()
Thanks - just looking at the Robotic Bean sequencers. Definitely REs that are unique and/or make use of the Reason rack are the sorts of things that make it worthwhile to me.antic604 wrote: Mon May 18, 2020 8:47 am Well, then anything from Blamsoft, Synapse Audio, Lectric Panda, Selig, Robotic Bean, Jiggery Pokery, Noise Engineering (for Eurorack modular stuff) should fit the bill - they all do high quality, creative and often unique REs![]()
Great choice! Also their Resonans is a pretty different synth compared to what's out there, even in VST format:
I already have Tassman & Chromophone as well as Kaivo and various Reaktor ensembles. - not sure if I need another as whilst I love the sound, I don't use them much.antic604 wrote: Mon May 18, 2020 9:21 am Great choice!
